Baby budgie Urgent help please!
How cute! It's beautiful! It doesn't look hungry cause you can see it's crop. As long as there's a decent amount of food in the crop then s/he should be fine. As Rainbow said, try introducing it to millet and other soft foods. :dbb1:

I'm on cloud nine....
From ears to scent! :(Laughing out loud): You are interested in some odd things! I think budgies smell really nice! I can't describe their scent though....and i think baby budgies smell very celery-ish! Maybe they would smell like whatever the parents have been eating. But they smell very fresh. :(Laughing out loud):

Help Please
OMG! ................Those poor little things! I've never seen such badly plucked babies! I'm so glad that you're taking over their care now. Put a nice piece of warm bedding wherever you've got them....poor darlings don't have much feathers to keep them warm.

Get out of the cage!
Can you do something in that room for a while (read or something) and just have the door open for quite a while each day?

Help Please
They should. But sometimes the mum damages the root of the feather....if this is the case then the feathers don't grow back properly. How longs the plucking been happening???

Question!
I remember my grandma saying something about inos not being able to breed....is this maybe true is certain types of animals??

Removing from Avery
Do you have a photo of him? Has he got all his feathers yet? If he does then he shouldn't need any special bedding. You should leave a millet spray on the cage floor (if that's where he spends his time) so he has the opportunity to try that and you should offer him some egg and biscuit mix (you can buy it from pet shops). If he's too young to eat on his own then you can either buy some hand raising mix or feed him egg and biscuit mix with a syringe or small spoon (depending on age).
