  1. You know.....i think you're right! We've got to stick together peoples! We can't be beaten by the budgies! Probably just me being paranoid but Gerri and Lime are outside exposed to the same air that wild birds have and wild birds are always near the aviary and one of my birds might have a cold and i would die if something happened to Blinkie.
  2. He also figiured out that i would be overwhelmed by the cuteness and get him out for one last goodnight snuggle. Nope. Quarintine.
  3. As long as you keep them to 10 - 15 minutes. Short sessions mean they don't get so distracted and bored.
  4. WOW! That's fantastic! You could probably do a few short taming sessions a day.
  5. :(Laughing out loud): :(Laughing out loud): :(Laughing out loud): You forgot to add "Spends to much time with stupid mutt"
  6. Geeee! Draw his attention to it why don't you! He's been farting at me all morning...i don't think he can get much more ann.....i mean ADORABLE.

Purpley blue usually means a boy. If there's any white then it's probaby a little girl.
  8. Last night i was on the computer and i had just covered Blinkie for bed. Then i turn around and the little butthead is peeking under the cover spying on me! See! I told you! My theory is that we are only test subjects in a world secretly ruled by budgies doing research on the behaviour of us humans! It makes perfect sense! They are the perfect researchers because they can cute-ify us so that they have us constantly in eye shot!

Mine do it whenever they feel like it. They do seem to prefer when people are watching....my grandma for example!

:(Laughing out loud): How funny! I wonder if you can get "Le Grass Cafe" in Canberra.

  12. Thanks guys! I'm about to go finish my assignment now! You've been sooo helpful!

If the babies have feathers then a padded box is fine. Otherwise you'll need to get a heated box so that the babies don't freeze. 2 babies! How cool! I hope my budgies are as productive!

I like it! Sparky looks pretty comfy in it too.

How exciting! I hope the others hatch too!
  18. They just look like they have a lot of pee in them. Another thing i find is that paper towel is super absorbent which often can make a little bit of liquid look much worse :budgiedance: Blinkie's poop looks like that after a tasty snack of celery leaves.
  19. How awful. :budgiedance: You should definitely separate each pair to breed if they are this agressive. Otherwise you'll just keep losing hens.

If they are small files you can email them to me and i'll resize them.
  21. Hi Guys! I need your help! I'm doing a research report thingy for science and i'm doing "Which type of paper is most effective on the bottom of a bird cage?". Part of the assignment is doing a survey so i thought i'd ask you guys! Could you vote and then say what you chosed and why. Thanks heaps! Bea
  22. Occasionally Blinkie does a greeny one...perfectly normal in all other ways. I think you should only worry if it's an irregular shape or really runny.
  23. I give mine greens everyday....not all vegies cause diarrhea. I think slight changes are normal in poop colour. I've read that greenish poop is normal for seed fed budgies.

Most baby budgies have black beaks. :dbb1: It changes at around 5 or 6 weeks.

You can start handling the babies when they start getting feathers which is usually about 2 weeks old. :dbb1:
