I just decided that seeing as Gherkins are so yummy i would call one of my budgies Gherkin, i also have one called Pickle. They match!

Blinkie will sample anything that i'm attempting to eat! It makes getting him to try new foods pretty easy.

Does Candy share a cage? Blinkie gets 2 teaspoons of seed with some egg and biscuit mix sprinkled on top. 1 budgie needs 2 teaspoons a day of seed, that's all. Restricting their seed also means they have to eat ALL the different seeds not just their favourites.

Well said! I can't imagine what Blinkie would have done if you said i was more gorgeous that him. I expect he would have savaged my head in my sleep!

Sorry, that made me laugh! You're weight loss plan for him is very good! Do you have a vet you could ring to see what weight he should be for his size? Some budgies are healthy at about 45g.

This fact has been posted before but you have to think how you actually kiss your budgie. It's not like you wet up your lips for a big tongue kiss! I make sure my lips are dry if i'm kissing Blinkie.

I'm glad you think it's funny. After a while it starts to get annoying being called Monkey Girl.

She can fly a bit now. Not as far or fast as the others but she can still do it.

He looks about the same as Buzz. She went through a phrase of not being able to fly very well cause she's just such a porker! She'd go to the effort of climbing right around the aviary instead of flying.

Blinkie is 30g. Can you post a picture? He can't possibly be as porky as Buzz.
