When Blinkie starts bopping his head screaming kissy kissy kissy i cheer him on by yelling kissy kissy kissy right back at him! Maybe you could try using the phrase you're trying to teach him as your official Sparky cheer.

Crop milk is the liquid that mummy birds feed newly born babies....i *think* it works to the effect of the first milk that mammals give their babies and provides them with antibodies....not sure on that one though. It has to be really fine for the new babies because they can't digest seeds. As the babies get older you begin to see seeds in their crops too. would that be an aviary Bea? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Or new homes.

The soft food (egg mix) helps the hen to be able to produce crop milk.

Poor little guy! He's proved he's a fighter though so i'm sure he'll get over this hurdle too.

I've noticed that too Rainbow! Budge would sit and head bop and sing and poor Razzo would just sit there begging desparately for food!

Somewhere for the babies to go once they've fledged.

According to what I was just told, yes. I find it hard to imagine though. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, fish can change their sex...or at least some can. Maybe other animals can too.

What? So Merlin decided he didn't want to be a boy so changed into a girl?
  18. Bea replied to a post in a topic in Health Questions and Tips
He really looks like a girl to me in the second picture but a definite boy in the first!!! Argh....this is way too confusing for my brain!

(Laughing out loud)!! You must have the most destructive budgies around Rainbow!
  20. Bea replied to a post in a topic in Budgie Talk
WOW!!! I love it!! How much did it cost to make?

And you're smiling about this? (Laughing out loud) i think you are the most budgie controlled person ever to be smiling because they chewed up all that stuff! Blinkie is super talented at chewing up my school work. It annoys me but deep down i know he only trying to decorate the edges of my paper so i get higher grades.

So 40C would be 104F??? That's about the hottest we get in Canberra but we usually don't get much higher than 32C. Budgies are really hardy. As long as they have fresh water they can deal with really hot temps as well as really low.
  23. :(Laughing out loud): What a funny post! I just can't imagine my budgies being that destructive!

Me and Blinkie used to play that game when he was little! He was very good at blinking....anyone guess where his name came from!
  25. When he won? Course he was! He was in the spotlight!
