too cold?
My budgies are outside all year round (except for Blinkie) and they don't seem to suffer because of the cold. At night i cover them with heshen which keeps a lot of the harsher wind out and i also put down the side covers when it rains to keep them nice and dry. I've also brought budgies in to breed during the winter before and they didn't have trouble adapting when they went back out to the aviary.

Fighting, Bulling or Balding ?
This is the tattiest any of my birds have every got during a moult. he only looked that way for a day or two before his feathers grew back.

they won't go in!
Well i supose maybe all the extra space going upwards could put them off but as your hen is already hanging out in it a bit it can't be too scary. :yellowhead: And in the wild budgies nest in all different places which are various shapes and sizes.

Budgie Fungus?
The most effective treaments come from the vet so you should try to get your bird to an avian vet to get checked out and then you'll be able to get just the right treatment. :yellowhead:

Beak Appetite & Wheat Grass
Haha.....picky budgies! Hope they behave and try some so that you haven't wasted your money!

Budgie Fungus?
Usually not effectively. And if it's not scaly face then treating him for it would be useless and a waste of time. Also, pet shop products are usually put into the water and that's often no good as the budgie hardly gets any or gets put of by the smell or colour and then wont drink it.

Budgie Fungus?
Do not treat him with any pet shop products! You need to get him to an AVIAN vet asap and get a professional opinion. Even if he's not acting sick there could be something wrong. You should definitely separate him from your other bird as he could have something contagious.
- New ideas?

Fighting, Bulling or Balding ?
If it's blood then you should probably get it checked by a vet. It could be something serious.

New ideas?
Blinkie makes his own entertainment....maybe he should share how to entertain yourself while frustrating your owner no end!

Fighting, Bulling or Balding ?
Is he moulting? In a really heavy moult they get really scruffy around there and it can look funny. However, if it's concerning you then a trip to the vet is definitely a must.

Beak Appetite & Wheat Grass
Fish are creepy! I can't stand the sight of fish at seafood shops, just the way the fish meat looks. It's also gross when there's baby octopus. Which part are you sposed to eat? The head or the legs?

Beak Appetite & Wheat Grass
Well if it said parrots, budgies are parrots, it should be fine.

HELP!
Keep her warm and make sure she's eating and drinking. I would still take her to the vet just to make sure everything's alright.

That sounds edible! (Laughing out loud) lucky birds!

How close is to close?
Blinkie's in the lounge room because that's where we always are so he always has people around. The kitchen and the lounge room are joined by an arch thing so it's very open but he's on one side and the stoves on the other side as far away as possible and the fan sucks up all the stink from cooking before it gets far.
