  1. Eggplant is on the TOXIC list in the FAQ!!! See Here
  2. I hope your little spangles feathers grow back fast. B*tch has that "guilty" look in her eye...she's a lil meany to do that to her step sibling
  3. Benny looks a bit like a Bonny (out of breeding condition) to me..... I keep thinking boy, no hen....no boy... no hen
  4. When i was younger (and dumber hehehehe) i used to let my tame budgies loose in the back yard to munch on the grass... they LOVED it!!! I am older and wiser now and wouldn't let them loose any more, but like Kaz said, if your lawn is chemical free... pop your cage on the grass and they will love it You will need to worm your birds regularly though...
  5. Cool I cant hardly wait to see some.... I didnt realise they are so small.
  6. This is an ideal cage if you can get your hands on one... PS dimensions about 2 feet wide ( 60cms ) and about a foot and a half deep ( 45 cms ) and about 20 inches high ( 50 cm ) RRP is about $60 Try Ebay... if you cant find one in the shops This cage is better than the other one you have, but still quite small. you could probably use it for a short while until you can get your hands on a bigger one... Remember that eggs haven't even been layed yet so you have atleast 2 months before you will have your birds. Hope this helps
  7. Hahahaaa Harry has spent all of her life (before i got to her) in a tiny cage with only Budgie the err Budgie for company.. I seriously think she thinks she is more budgie than tiel hence why we call her our Budgietiel hahahah - I am still waiting for the day someone genetically mixes a budgie with a cockatiel hehehehhe... Harry sounds very cute :hap: I think Bec Sta has a "budgietiel" too... she put a video on here a few weeks back with it singing just like a budgie.
  8. They are very sweet birds... :hap: May i ask why Harry is a "budgietiel"???? :hap:
  9. Sounds full on!!! Hope you get everything done and have a great time
  10. :hap: :hap:
  11. Hi Una, Its nice to meet you and Welcome back
  12. That sounds horrible!! Mine haven't hand any for a while - our hot summer has put broccoli prices though the roof... thanks for the warning.
  13. Someone's been playing in my controls ... sneaky little devils ! I offered to share with anyone who wishes to sample the goodies. I am making tea & coffee now. Keep yer mitts off the cake ! Did you not do that sig??? Did someone break into your controls without your knowlage and plant those delectible cakes??? Hmmmm i think we need to start an investigation... You search though your controls for clues, fingerprints and dropped crumbs. I will check the cakes for any evidence such as hairs, fibers and prints that might lead us to the culprit!!!

  20. I have just read this entire thread!! i am lost for words - i cant even begin to imagine what you have all been though  What AWESOME news!!! Lucas is such a fighter!!!! Congratulations!!!
  21. I agree with Elly Have a look here
  22. If they were tamed a bit as babies they are easier to tame as adults. You may not get the same level of tameness that you get from a baby. It would depend on the temperament of your birds; are they flighty or biters?? I cant see why you cant get them to sit on your hand and shoulder etc... It is certainly possible and worth a try Wing clipping helps a lot with taming. Other wise you will spend all day chaseing them around the room and not actually taming them
  23. hehehe i think you mean Elly
  24. The wild budgie is the normal green type Any other colours would not servivie in the wild. Here is a good site Click here
  25. Hmmmm 68% ...... need to learn more hehehhe.... those genetics are tough!
