What he was doing was sitting on my keyboard and biting my fingers and really attacking them as I typed. So I deliberately moved my fingers toward him as if to pat him. I wasn't holding him at all, he was just sitting on my keyboard. So when I went to pat him I knew he was going to bite me, and I pushed up at his beak then. It was never a frightening experience for him, it just bought him down a couple of notches and he realised that biting wasn't fun anymore. Bobby and I have an amazing bond now, I haven't been attacked since you gave me this advice. He does have the occasional nip, but it is never as it was. I can also at times hold him in my cupped hands, rarely but he has never ever liked this since I first got him, so I don't think I have done any harm to him at all. I do appreciate your concern and thank you :bluebudgie: I would NEVER do anything to hurt my little baby!

Ohh that's what Bobby does to my glasses! and he holds onto my hair and peers into the glasses upside down! It is the funniest sight from my side of the glass! I also get lots of fingernail dig-ins all over my face when he wants to get a grip!! Great pics!!!

I was thinking sending it through Aust. Post, I didn't think postage varies depending on where you sent it..... Any other options or ideas would be gladly heard!! A WA partner hmmm, perhaps a mum who has a bit of time up her sleeve, only working school hours etc, would possibly work.... I am still investgating set-up fees and of course whether I could get one or more companies to get on board. I don't know if it is worth offering a variety of products, or just stick to the one brand.

With all the Sunnyness lately, Bobby has felt a little left out, I was experimenting with windows movie maker tonight and of course the video camera! I can testify to this method, the results were instantaneous! I was so despaired about Bobby's biting habit, where he was constantly biting my hands, attacking me and drawing blood. Bobby hardly ever bites me anymore. One session of this and he learnt straight away that biting wasn't going to be tolerated anymore, and he stopped. The one other thing, when Sailorwolf told me about this method, that I did was I forced him to bite me - I aggravated him so I knew that I was in control of the situation. This may seem cruel but all I actually did was try to pat him, he went to bite and I pushed him back. He was myffed, I tried again and the same thing until he flew away. About an hour later I tried to pat him and he just ran away, and it's been like this ever since, and my hands have healed completely!! I owe so much to Sailorwolf - Bobby and I now have the best bond ever possible, and it's all because of this!

I haven't looked at the veterinary clinics yet... hmmm. The only pellets I could find were full of artificial colours and I wasn't happy with that, plus Bobby wouldn't touch them.

Not at this stage, it is just an idea that I had, and I just want to see if it is viable! I really want to start a business from home that would provide a decent income when I leave work to have a baby. I noticed there was a lack of this sort of product available, so hopefully there would be demand for it.

I am thinking of becoming an online distributor for organic pet food products, as I am having trouble locating anything of this variety in my neck of the woods. This poll is not to drum up business for myself, just to see if it is a viable idea. Thanks everyone for your input.

I am looking into feeding my birds a healthier, organic natural diet, that incorporates seeds, pellets and fresh fruit and veg. I have been looking everywhere for a good quality brand of pellets, and cannot find them anywhere. One petshop that I went to said they don't sell pellets because the birds wont eat them :ausb: This is the pet shop that Bobby came from. I was just doing a little bit of research and discovered a brand called Harrisons, that are organic and seem to be of a good quality. The problem is they are only available in Canberra (good news for you Bea!) and apart from sending Bea some money every month to get her to send me some there must be a better way. I want to know two things - firstly, does anyone use and recommend this product, or have any suggestions for a better product, that I might be able to get in Aus AND I was thinking of maybe becoming a distributor for this product in Australia (Vic) would anyone know how I could start that.... Thanks for your help! Oh currently I feed my birds a mixture of egg & biscuit, seeds and crumbles, plus fresh fruit and veg. Is this a sufficient diet???

I went out to buy a broom during our last camping trip - I couldn't handle all the sand! Oh tell Ken he can bring Melon and one of the twins with him when he comes!!! (or both!!)

I am having the same problem with Sunny, but tonight I had him sitting on my finger eating some millet!! That was the key, first I put the millet in the cage, as long a stick as possible, then slowly shortened it until just the tip was poking through my fingers. I then rubbed his little belly and he stepped onto my finger - he was too interested in the millet to realise what he was doing!! I the cupped him in my hand, and as soon as he started fighting it, I gave him the millet back and he was happy. I let him munch for about 5 mins then took it away and he stayed in my hand and let me rub his head! He even closed his little eyes!!!

Can I borrow Ken for the weekend???
