I am pleased to announce that I haven't been attacked for over a week now! I adopted Sailorwolf's method and adapted it to suit my situation and it has worked a treat! I am not sure if you think that this is appropriate, but I forced him to bite me by doing the things he hates me doing, and in this way, I know I had control of the situation, so everytime he went to bite, I was expecting it and pushed back on his beak. He didn't like it, and after a while he would give up and fly away! By taking the inititive this way and controlling the biting, it has stopped the attacks! I still can't touch him, but he just ducks away from my hand now, instead of trying to bite it! The result is one very happy owner and a more contented budgie, and it has definitely increased our bond, as you have possibly read in this post. http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=9648 Thank you everyone for your help and advise! If he will eat it! I have been told that they can eat chicken, so I guess turkey wouldn't be much different (I don't eat turkey, so I don't know how much it is like chicken or not! )

He says "I love you" too!! Wow - I feel so special!!! I never thought Bobby would get that close either, but I wouldn't leave him alone!!!

As soon as I get home from work, the first thing I do is let Bobby out of his cage. He hears me come it the door and starts chirping to me. He rides on my shoulder everywhere (and I mean EVERYWHERE) I go, and when I am sitting on the couch he is giving me kisses, and chews softly on my lip as I talk to him. Then he uses his little beak to chew softly on the rest of my face. He goes all around my cheeks and mouth and sits on my glasses and chews my eyelashes! It feels so soft and sweet, wonderful really. (it tickles!) Is this him preening me? Apart from the biting which I am starting to see a lot less of, he is like this all the time now!!! I am so happy!! :hap:

About a month ago, I THOUGHT Bobby was moulting... There was a bit of fluff hanging around and he had little spikes all over his head - Well, it has started! I have never seen so many feathers. He is losing tail feathers, wing feathers, head feathers, his little body looks like he's going bald! Obviously this is irritating him as he is constantly preening. But now he can't fly very well... He doesn't have much lift and he seems to flutter more that fly - does anyone else's budgies have this problem when they moult???
