Pasta Worms
Bobby has now decided that since pasta is fair go, any food will do. His new favourite spot is perched on the edge of my dinner plate... He even had a taste of some chicken tonight.... There is nothing more apetising then having a budgie running across your food - if he keeps it up it will have to be in the cage at dinner time!

Grate At Bottom Of Cage
In Bobby's cage there was a grate that sat in the bottom, I have decided to remove it as Bobby enjoys foraging around on the bottom and playing with his toys down there. I just wanted to know what others did in this situation, if they prefer to leave it there or you remove it so that your budgie can forage, or any other reasons. I have newspaper down the bottow which I change regularily so that he can't pick up any bacteria, is there anything else I need to be mindful of if I decide to keep the grate off??? Your input is greatly appreciated :bluebudgie: Thanks

Flight Suits
If you would prefer something other than a flight suit, here is an option... Of course they have no budgie costumes, but I guess budgie owners actually care for their birds, and wouldn't force them to wear restrictive uncomfortable garments for our own entertainment...

New Foods Purchased
Hi there I have just been down to the local pet shop to do some budgie treat shopping, and I bought some millet sprays and some pellets. These were the only brand of pellets they had, and they are "Kaytee Exact Rainbow" for parakeets and lovebirds. They are pink, green, yellow and beige in colour, and am wondering if the artifical colours would be alright for Bobby in the long run. Also any advise on the best way to convert him to this new type of food would be greatly appreciated! :ausb: Thanks

Introducing Myself
Thank you all for your kind welcomes! Bobby is about 5 months old! Lettuce is the only alternative to seed I can get him to eat at this stage - you should see the look I got when I put broccoli in his cage!!!
