I was enjoying a quiet buttered bread roll for lunch when the kettle boiled so I ran out to make a quick cuppa... When I came back in who do you think I find, happily standing right in the middle of my roll, but Bobby, enjoying a nibble! I shoo'd him away and of course he lands on the couch with butter all over his feet, leaving butter footprints on the couch. There's butter on his beak, butter on my table, butter on my computer, butter on my shoulder and a nip on my finger because I wouldn't let him share the rest!!! and little budgie footprints running across my bread roll...

I was thinking self defence as well... Scary

Oh Beano is the most beautiful colour I have ever seen, he is nearly aqua!! Just gorgeous! I love it when they have mucky faces after they tuck into a good feed!!

It's a public holiday in Aus today, so most people would probably be out and about enjoying themselves! So sorry to hear about the mother dying I don't have any advice to offer, but best of luck hand rearing these tiny babies. How many are there? With the dads help, they should get some of what they would naturally get as well as your supplemented food. If dad's food isn't enough. Please ensure you keep a close eye on dad as well, so he saves some nutrients for himself and doesn't give his all to the babies. Good luck
