I would absolutely LOVE to see your avairy in person Karen - I wish I knew you when I was in Perth last year I do have plans to go back one day though, but not for a couple of years.... we will be taking the Ghan to Darwin and then travelling down to perth by car.... Ever since Sunny had his wings clipped, I noticed his tail had a slight droop to it, it has gotten a little worse in the past few days with a noticeable bump at the top of it. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening??? Thanks

It is a mixture of seeds, pellets and egg & biscuit - it's a cocktail I make up weekly for their dinner! Nah....just gonna work out the recipe and make one. With the amount of Karens budgies I have on my steal list, I don't blame her But sorry Kaz, no swaps! Well you will need just a pinch of cheeky in that recipe, Bobby has much too much of that!

OMG Bobby is crazy for food. The instant any food comes out he is onto it like a fly! A real pesky one at that. All over you you have to shoo him away if you want any of your own food. Its not good enough to break off a piece just for him, and if your mouth gets too close to HIS food, watch out - CHOMP Here is evidence of his gluttony!! If she continues to lay after you have thrown the eggs it might be a good idea to shake the eggs really hard so there is no chance of them hatching, then put them back under her so she wont lay anymore. After a while when they don't hatch she will get sick of them.

Does she have a lump near her vent to suggest she might have another egg on the way?

Try some egg & biscuit mixed with a bit of water - that is very soft, or even some mutigrain bread soaked in water... ask Bubbles her budgies love it..... I should be okay for the short term.
