Oh Karen - I am sorry to hear about Cricket - I hope she makes a speedy recovery. Best of luck feeding the pups! - they will take to it soon enough - natural instinct will take over and they wont starve themselves.

I have to wait to get my teil now Hubby said "if I buy you a bigger cage then you have to wait until the house is finished before getting anymore birds" - I agreed because I thought a larger home for my current budgies was more important than getting more birds for now. Hopefully the house will be finished in 6 months :sad:

They must have increased their bird range now cause they have heaps of toys - I actually found they had more than Pails for Scales and Petstock put together Bobby and Sunny got 2 new swings and a cute little acrylic toy to add to their new cage...Bea saw toys there that she had never seen before! I didn't see any millet tho but they did have some new Penn Plax cage kits with toys and perches for cockateils - they were small though, but they might be getting in some more Penn Plax products - they have great toys hehe! I saw some cages at Big W once and didn't really look closely at them - I am actually going there now hehe - great for buy in bulk laundry liquid Of course I will sneak over to the pet section also!!! hehe

Yes some wonderful person visited on the weekend and showed me what a great cage it was! its 30" long by 18"wide x 18" high!! I got it from Thinking Pet Care on Learmonth Rd (near Bunnings in Wendouree) It was only $60

Well it is coming up to my first anniversary, and my request... A new cage for the boy!! So Scott told me to go get it today then!!! :D Here it is!

:(Laughing out loud): That reminds me of one time when Sunny was walking along the edge of the sink and saw the white bubbles in there, and tried to jump onto them!! He got the biggest shock of his life when he fell through and landed in the water (he hates water) and to make matters worse for him I had to rince him to make sure none of the detergent stayed in his feathers, which could have made him sick... Thanks for the warning on the coke - I am always leaving coffee cups on the table while I go off to do something - with Bobbys new found love of milk it might be a good idea to cover it before I leave the room...

I was enjoying my cornflakes this morning when Bobby flew over and perched himself on the edge of my bowl, he ducked his head in and had a bit of a nibble of a cornflake, then tasted the milk.... He obviously thought it was okay cause he went back and had a decent drink, then shook his head and sent milk flying everywhere... Is it okay for budgies to drink milk?? It was a longlife (UHT) low fat milk I was using as i had run out of 'normal' milk....

Daz what sort of wood did you use to make your nest boxes?? It looks great - Karen, Scott said he was going to build me some nesting boxes, I would love to try your design!
