  1. Little Mr Man! That's adorable!!!
  2. He sounds lovely! How much feet has he got left? And that specially adapted cage sounds great! Good job....if anyone has a lazy budgie maybe they should set their cage up like that! Save the bird from jumping around! :(Laughing out loud):

    Raw....that's okay isn't it???
  4. HI! Nice to meet you!
  5. Yes...i'm a very mistreated pet owner. So sad.....i think we need a budgie group to help them controll their owner abuse. :(Laughing out loud):
  6. No...poop in the mouth is very unpleasant! I once had Tweety on my nose and she pooped in my mouth and i spat it across the room onto my friend and then she started screaming and jumping around. :(Laughing out loud): Pretty funny really but kinda gross!
  7. Well i couldn't survive without giving Blinkie little kisses. What do they think we'll do? Slime up our lips for a nice sloppy kiss?

Hey, maybe Blinkie would eat carrot tops..... *plotting to sneak new food into his diet* Another vegie my birds like is corn on the cob. They go nuts for it!
  10. I would love to own an animal rescue centre so i can help all the neglected and mistreated animals.
  11. Unless it's a birth defect i'm sure it would hurt at first but then get better. :fear I supose it would be the same as someone who got a leg amputated. It hurts on occasion, but they can still enjoy life.
  12. That's a great story, i remember reading that!
  13. Razzo got in a major hen fight and as a result has 1 claw and just stumps for toes. They are very adaptable. Razzo fell off perches and stuff at first but she's adapted and can now get around easily. She prefers bigger branches to the smaller ones but she can still use them because she's learned to grip with her stubs. She still has a good life. I'm glad you took in the little guy. You're obviously going to give him the love and affection he needs.
  14. Well he can't be feeling to bad then. If he's back to his naughty little feathery self! :(Laughing out loud):

Yeah, i saw someone at Woolworths get a box of salad leaves and stuff free for their rabbits. That's a good idea if you don't like the vegetable!

I'm sure it makes sense in his budgie mind.
  17. Blinkie had that happen once and i figuired it was because he got on a key i was pressing and when the key sprung back his toe got stuck. I let him hang out on the keyboard still but i push him away if he gets under my fingers. You're right, a screaming and afraid budgie is not a nice sight.

My outside birds eat the stalks but not Blinkie, he's just too particular. I guess it depends on your birds, but if you slice it long ways into strips they should eat it.

Are you looking at whole bunches or half? At the supermarket i go to the half bunches don't have many leaves but the whole ones have all their delicious budgie food intact. Seems stupid to get rid of the leaves. And like Julie didn't suggest....there are usually tender new leaves growing up the middle.

Well that a relief! I doubt dad would be into buying fresh food just for the birds though. At least i use celery. I just buy a bunch and then cut off all the leaves for the budgies.

Thanks devvle, i was a bit concerned about seeds going off, i'm not sure if i'll feed them to my birds.

No and No. First no, i'm pretty sure he's a he but like before am not 100%. Second no, i hate spinach and would not like to be made to eat what the budgies don't.
  24. Has super budgie for may been picked yet? When do we get to see it?

(Laughing out loud)! Blinkie might....sometimes i have to be eating it for him to try it so i hope he doesn't expect me to eat grass! :(Laughing out loud):
