Blinkie loves throwing things on the floor so i have to pick them up! But he made up for it today by being so keen to eat his celery leaves. He was at the door waiting before i even got to his cage! Good boy, eating his greens!

I also get trill. I just sprinkled it on some wet tissue paper and put it in the sun, making sure the seeds stay moist.
  3. Those are the cutest pictures! I love the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ones best!

I can understand the feeling, when my untame aviary birds come close to me or eat from my hand i feel so happy! It's nice to know they sort of trust me!

The bird seed you buy...whatever is in that....
  7. I've been growing some seeds in a little container since Sunday and they're starting to sprout. How long should i let them grow and which part do you feed? The grassy bit or the seed or both?

GOOD JOB! I'll bet your over the moon! Now he knows your not a big evil monster coming to smoosh him he might like hanging out with you a bit more.
  9. They may not have had that much contact though. Maybe you should still quarentine for the last week....although it's not that much time....I think it's up to what you want to do.

Do your parents accidently drop small change all over the place? One time i went on a coin search of the house and finished up with about $4! Bargin i think for doing nothing.

Glad everyone likes them! Lucky's Gal, Sponge is only a nickname...his real name is SpongeBob! And i don't know why my birds are so obsessed with the bath! Did you notice that there are more birds bathing in these pics than in the last lot? They're getting more adventurous!

I gave my aviary birds another celery bath today and it was cause for great excitment apparently. There were birds flying everywhere! Here's some piccies of my budgies in flight. Buzz takes of like a rocket when the little ones come and cramp her style. See the evil in her eyes? :(Laughing out loud): Razzo coming in for a safe landing. Bubble just getting a tad over excited at the thought of water. Jaz getting very annoyed when his big sis comes and takes over his bath. Look at Pats wings! They're going so fast! A very wet Sponge (i know that sounds weird) coming into the bathing zone for a bit more splashing about. I think Pat believes that Spongey bathing is inappropriate for young people to see.

I'm very sorry about your loss. She had a long and, by the sounds of it, mostly happy life.

Yes, the younger babies are always a lot smaller and they also usually grow slower too. But in my experience they do survive.

They're both the father. I think that some eggs will be one daddy's and others will belong to the other one.
  20. The ones with white or yellow patches on their bodies are called pieds.

Well if you do get another bird it needs to be quarentined in a different cage and room for at least 30 days. That way you'll be able to watch for signs of illness in either of your birds before introducing them.

Both those birds are girls and the cere changes are normal. When the cere is brown and crusty they are in peak condition for breeding. Sneezing i wouls say is just regular sneezing. Like us, just cause we sneeze doesn't mean we're sick.

I know what you mean! For such little things they sure know how to cost a lot of money!
