WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aww Elly he absolutely adorable.

Quarantines ended a bit early for Beano but he has had his vets check plus Ive been monitoring him and he is fine. Well not fine - absolutely barmy. Anyways this is very poor quality as my cam is poo. But Georgy loves Beano and they are having fun - but as you will see Patty the snot isnt keen at all. Oh and at the very end you can just see Noo attacking the camera from his cage.

Yep I thought boy too - but does it matter really - he is adorable.

My Candy weighed 56 grams at one point and couldnt even fly - he is around the 43g mark right now and suits him fine - he has bags of energy and is always first out of the cage. I increased the veggies and fruit and took away all treats. I can imagine some show budgies to weigh 100g, some I saw at a show were huge and bigger than my tiels.

Oh yeah I want a normal green budgie the only type I havent got so that might be my last one. I cant wait to see the pictures.

Oh he would need a friend if you was out at work all day, but I would get one to start with the try and tame him up. I cant wait what colour are you thinking of?

He does somersaults around and around his rope perch. As you can see in the second picture I caught him mid somersault hehe!

Most of my birds dont like me so of course they dont like strangers but they go about their business pretty much as usual. Barnslee will sit on anyones finger or anywhere I put her in fact and stay put. Noodle on the other hand is everyones best friend. Someone came to buy a fireplace off us and he flew to the man and started asking him what he was doing. The man was petrified and I had to go and retrieve Noo hehe. I think Beano is a people budgie - for now in any case.

But please someone anyone why doesnt Tobi have iris rings - by all rights she should have. She is almost a year old and no sign.

I understand the risks Terri but it was really a last resort as Elly said. Im not dissing anyone here but I personally wouldnt have taken a trip knowing I had the responsibility of my birds care - but then who in their right mind would take care of my 10 birds hehe. Oh Terri would - oh why didn't you move to England grrrrrrrr.

At least the bird will be fed and watered Terri eh and hopefully kept safe from harm.

I used to have a dark eyed clear and she had iris rings.

He could stay in the car if they are out walking he would be safe there. I just think there are as many risks by leaving him home alone for 4 whole days.

If she hasnt changed her behaviour since youve had her then it could just be her personality. I have a budgie just like it Patty she doesnt play sings a bit doesnt really interact with the other budgies other than to bite their feet through the cage. She is a miserable snot. On the other hand if this behaviour has just started I would definitely see a vet to have her checked over.

Still no improvement Im afraid but she is no worse. Im almost done with her antibiotics too and she isnt due at the vet until Tuesday after the Easter holidays. She was in good spirits yesterday and took an interest in the tiels which is a good thing. I will let you know how she does after my Easter break - yep 4 days off for me yay!

Recessive pieds for sure and my unique Tobi girl, nobody has come up with the reason why my yellowface opaline spangle has no iris rings.

I personally wouldnt go on the trip if it was me couldnt bear to leave my birds alone even for one night. 4 days is a long time even if he has food and water - what if he poops in his drinking water on the first day - it will be totally contaminated by day 4. Take him with you - stuff the hubby hehe!

I agree the information is fantastic just my decision for the time being not to stop giving spinach especially to my tiels who wont touch any other veg. I dont drink milk so my iron will be okay hehe!

But they all LOVE spinach even the tiels who dont like veggies so I am tempted not to stop feeding it - it must give more nutrition than seeds and if they wont eat any other veggies (tiels) I feel it better than none at all.
