  1. Nice work!! Your birds will love all that space!
  2. :(Laughing out loud): Sounds like a classic case of being a MALE budgie.
  3. Ahhh yes, pinny eyes. :hap: It's an excitable/flirtatious thing. I see it far too often from Mr Blinkie. :(Laughing out loud):

I don't use any hair products that i would have to leave in (spray, gel, mousse, etc) because i'm sure it wouldn't be a good thing for them to be chewing. Personally i think you would want to either keep your budgie away from your hair (which would take some training by the sounds of it, hehe) or not use hair products when you're budgie is out and on a mission to nibble your hair. :hap:
  5. My three stinkers having a bite to eat!

Blinkie: Good to see you've taken control of the computer. Next step...the universe! Budgies .... UNITE!
  7. You could look into taking him by plane too, he would have to travel with the other pets wherever they put them, but i know people do fly with birds. I would be calling the different airlines in Australia and seeing what they offer in terms of pet transport.
  8. He's really cute!! I love when budgies chat themselves up in the mirror.

    He's so cute!! :D
  10. Well my first budgie was a female and she was awesome. She was really tame and friendly, and loved to sit with the family, steal our food and get into trouble. Females don't chatter the way males do, and i'm not sure that they're as goofy either. But both sexes make awesome pets. :grbud:
  11. I gave the budgies a little bit of 9-grain bread today and they LOVED it!!! Blinkie got there first, and he was NOT keen on sharing the piece of bread that's just about bigger than he is....greedy little.... :grbud: But nothing comes between Ozzie and food, so they soon settled down to share And then Mr Fizz Wizz joined in the snack too After everyone else was full, Ozzie shared a bite to eat with his not-so-secret admirer I also took some photos earlier, just of the boys hanging out.

You've got a very beautiful flock there!! :grbud: I love the last photo.
  13. Just worked that out. I didn't realise it was a link! George is a cutie! He has good taste in forums too.
  14. Pics aren't showing up here?
  15. If you need a cheap spare cage check Bunnings or Magnet Mart, i got a small cage which does a good job for quarantine or traveling to the vet for $10.
  16. Hehe, if it's broken it's yours. When it's fixed, it's mine. I love it!

My boys are too big and tough to want to snuggle into mummy's hair anymore. :fear Charley is a little cutie.
  18. Here's a few photos of my handsome boys that i've taken over the past week.

She's such a pretty little budgie.

He's been evil right from the start. Only time he's not evil is when he's sleeping OR when i manage to sneak a little head scratch. Then he gets this absolutely blissful look on his face, poofs out his little cheeks, and squeaks.
  21. And if i do say so myself, a perfect excuse for the owner to relax outside.

Fizzy has to be possessed, there's just no other explanation. He is always butting in when he's not wanted (e.g. if i'm taking a photo of Blinkie, he'll dive bomb us), chasing the cockatiels, pulling everyone's tails, he's just plain evil. :(Laughing out loud): I think he has issues related to size, he's such a pipsqueak, maybe he feels the need to make up for it in attitude.

Well i sure hope not!! A couple of days ago i moved Fizzy into the boys bachelor pad. He needs some serious socialization 101 lessons, but i think he'll be right. The boys don't seem to buddy up too much, they're usually doing their own individual thing (i.e. Fizzy putting a bell on his head, Ozzie eating, Blinkie humping) and don't seem bothered by the others. I'm hoping that my boys angelic behaviour *cough cough* :(Laughing out loud): rubs off on Fizzy, because let's face it, the bird couldn't possibly get any more evil.
  24. (Laughing out loud)!!! That seems like the sort of thing i could easily do. Head out to buy seed - come home with a cageful of new birds. You found two little cuties there though, and i love their names!
  25. Even a screen can filter out the beneficial things from the sun. I roll my guys out onto the back steps sometimes and when i do i peg the doors shut and stay out with them. Often i'll sit outside reading for an hour or two so i can supervise them. If you don't have that much time just 15-30 mins outside is still great for them.
