Here's a few photos of Blinkie, Ozzie and Fizzy. Ozzie doing his favourite sport.

It all began when dad called me into the kitchen to see where Blinkie and Ozzie were playing, i bought the camera cause i had a feeling it would be cute! Are you boys offering to wipe the dishes?? (Laughing out loud)! Seeing as they were sitting right next to the tap i thought i would see if they felt like a bath... Ozzie: You can go in first, test the water.... Blinkie: Don't be such a weeny Oz!! So Blinkie went first... And pretty soon Ozzie decided everything was safe and he took over from Blinkie. Aren't they CUTE!

I hadn't really noticed Bee's throat spots but now you mention it they are nice! Jaws is a gorgeous bird, i noticed when i was going through the photos that she's grown a BLACK throat spot!! She's cinnamon so she shouldn't have a black one should she?

The 5 newbies have joined the aviary flock at last. I put them out with the others a few days ago and they've settled in great. Here's some photos of the newbies as well as some of the other flock members. Jaws Cracker Bee Genie Mojo You can see their colours better now, it's much easier to take photos in the aviary than through the quarantine cage bars. Awwwww. He's a little cutie. What a mean mummy putting him through that unpleasantness.
  8. I'm glad that Saffy is going well with her eggs and you haven't run into any complications.

Nice cage!! I would say you could easily have 6-8 budgies in that cage.
  10. I've had a few hens that would do that sort of thing whenever i took them from the aviary and put them in the breeding cage, they didn't like the smaller space.

I use gum tree branches too! Another fun way to make perches is with some natural sisal or cotton rope (untreated), cheap and easy rope perches.

Great find for $20!! I was also wondering about the mesh size, but you say it needs some repairing so perhaps that was one of the things you were planning to fix up?

My beautiful boy He's been sulking this afternoon because i keep taking his humping toys off him. I wouldn't have to if he wasn't mean to Ozzie when he gets too near. Fizzy doesn't need humping toys, he has a girlfriend....well that's what he thinks anyway. Cookie has too many boyfriends to count.

You gotta love this squishy little fella... Not only does he talk to forks and spoons but also chair legs! And when he notices that the camera is out, he hides! \ "If i can't see you, then you can't see me" Ozzie, you are just AWESOME!! Poor little Oz was getting tormented by Blinkie because Blinks was in a "mood" and was humping every toy in sight. He even used Ozzie favourite comfort toy so now poor Ozzie doesn't have his favourite disky business toy. But i got Mr Ozzie out so he could have some time out, and i think he liked that.

I would even say it's present in ALL seed mixes, i am yet to see a mix with no millet. I think finch/canary mix has more millet in it than most, and it's used for dieting fat budgies.

Congrats on the bub!! So cute and pink. :bluebudgie:

My vet said that millet isn't fattening. When Ozzie was sick i made sure he always had a millet spray and the vet questioned my reasoning as millet is often used to diet birds. Talk about confusing! I give my indoor birds a spray of millet once or twice a week, the spray is shared 5 ways (3 budgies, 2 tiels) so they don't get too much each.

In my quarantine cage there are 2 males, and 3 females.....the males have paired up. :(Laughing out loud): From the photo the cere looks really smooth and pink, but a closer picture would be better. :bluebudgie: Smooth and pink would mean male, but if it is male, then it's cere should never have turned brown...

Kazumi is too cute. He looks to have a wonderful personality.

Haha, Ozzie spends an unnatural amount of time with his cutlery friends. It is adorable though. He's my handsome little guy.

Here's a photo each of my two beautiful boys - Fizzy doesn't count, evil little rat. :budgiedance: Nah, i love him, but he's too hyper to sit still long enough for a photo.
