I just wanted to add that Genie, Mojo and Jaws all have leg rings. I will figure out colour and any numbers i can make out tomorrow and post them.

Yes i did budgies_r_cool! :hap: Cracker is a little "crackers". He looks out the window running back and forward, trying to get outside. I think he's my favourite, he's so cute. :budgiedance:

Haven't got a clue. I might check when i transfer them from quarantine to the aviary. Don't want to catch them more than necessary.

I had lots of fun at the bird sale today. :fear I told myself i would buy two to four budgies, so here's the FIVE i bought home. (Laughing out loud)!! First to catch my eye was this lovely hen that i've named Genie. She's a yf2 grey opaline spangle cinnamon. Next i got these two cuties. First is the male, Mojo, he's a skyblue greywing opaline dominant pied. And then there is Bee, a skyblue opaline spangle cinnamon hen. Then i went back to the first breeders table and got these two. First is Jaws, a yf2 or goldenface cinnamon pied. She got her name because she bit the breeder, then got me twice when i was putting her in the quarantine cage. And finally is Cracker, a yf2 normal named after a bird just like him i used to have named Mr Paulie Cracker. The photos aren't fantastic, i will try to get some better ones once they've settled in.

Blinkie was a cute baby too, i just think Ozzie had a special baby cuteness about him. I remember thinking Ozzie was especially cute when i first got him too. I realised the other day that he has NEVER bitten me, will NEVER protest at being cupped in a hand, steps up everytime! Amazing little bird!

I was looking back through my old photobucket accounts and this little baby just made me go AWWW more than most baby budgies do, look at his cute baby squishiness. Wasn't Ozzie too cute for words?!?!

Budgies are not one of the best species to mix, they're agro little rats at times. It's safest to just leaves budgies with budgies, if you want to mix try for the more peaceful species (ask KAZ, her husband has a mixed aviary).

My guys only get that mirror when they're out of the cage, so always supervised. I can see how it could be dangerous though.

Just a few pics, Fizzy's was taken with the vibrant setting on, so he looks more violet than usual.

Come to think of it i've had a close call with frayed rope too. Little miss Akala once got her foot tangled in a rope toy, circulation was completely cut off when i found her, and i wasn't sure what would happen to that foot. But once i cut and unwound the rope from her leg, it was back to normal within an hour.

You need a hanger bolt, half of it is a screw, and half a thread. You drill a hole in the perch, screw in the bolt, then attach the rest.

I'm sorry Sara passed away. *hugs* She's 100% healthy now, and playing with all the budgie angels at the rainbow bridge.

This is a little shredder toy that i made from some raffia, pony beads and leather cord. It's really simple, just poke the raffia through the little ring so that it's half on either side, fold it down, and tie it with a little more raffia. The i tied in a piece of leather cord and added some beads! Too easy!

Might just be me but the yellow doesn't look bright enough for the baby to be green either, looks like a yf2 spangle...

:ausb: I would certainly feel more inclined to buy cutlery if it was advertised by a budgie.

Isn't it great how budgies are happy to just help themselves to anybody's food dish. I'm glad that everyone is getting along.
