These are some toys i made for the tiels and budgies yesterday. Just a stringy beady one, the tiels will like playing with the beads. A paddle pop stick and bead one, and look what it says Bails (as in Bailee, i didn't have any O's or E's or Cookie would've got one too) A dragonfly-ish toy A chain toy i restored with rope and beads A braided toy with beads, a bell and a domino to play with \ And the most awesome one for last! A wiffle ball, bead and rope toy! Used up all i had left of my cotton rope, but it's so cool i don't care. Here's a few pics of Cookie and Bailee playing with them, the budgies are more cautious of new toys, so no photos of them playing yet. Cookie looks around at the new toys, she nibbles one... But looking beautiful is more important! Bailee plays with the "Bails" toy when he realises something so cool! "Mum, it says my name!"

If you find out where to get one, let me know!!! All budgies have to do is look at themselves in a metal chair leg....Ozzie spends an enormous amount of time doing this. :ausb:

We have a lab and a jack russell (as Elly mentioned) and i would consider both to be "safe" to have around with the birds out. Always supervised though. Buffy (lab) is scared of the birds and i don't for a minute think that she would snap at them, but she's huge to them, and as she tries to move away from them she could step on one of them. Mickey isn't scared of them, and he only has so much patience. Most of the time the budgies ignore the dogs, and he ignores them. Sometimes Blinkie gets ratty and will pull his whiskers and just generally push his luck. This is when i either put Mickey out, or put the birds away. As to how to train, Mickey we gradually introduced Blinkie to as a baby, and we've never had real problems. Buffy was super interested in the birds when we got her, she would lunge and jump at the cages and for ages i was worried sick that i wouldn't be able to have the birds out as much. But she's a softy, and hates getting in trouble....and i can yell and stomp quite a bit in a temper...sooooooo. :ausb: One time she lunged at the bird cage and i just went off at her, ever since she's been terrified to go near the birds, it's worked very well in my favour.

When i give them to my guys i will usually cook them up with some brown rice and also some peas. Makes a nice healthy mix for them.

He weighs 40g now, he's always been in the 30s. :(Laughing out loud): So maybe he is getting a little pudgier.

He's definitely a poser once he burns off all his mad budgie energy! :hap: As long as i wait for him to land somewhere and just hang out he's happy to put on all his cutest looks. If i try before that point of rest though, he'll just jump on the camera to "help" me take photos of the others. :ausb:

Can't let Blinkie take all the attention, here's some photos of the gorgeous Z boys! Both have little ouchies at the moment. Fizzy grazed his cere on something and Ozzie "popped some zits" during the night. :ausb:

Here's a few photos i took of Blinkie this afternoon. :ausb: He was being such a good little model, i didn't have to chase him around at all. He's sitting on "his" chair, he loves sitting there and chatting to himself. This one's my desktop background, he looks so peaceful!

    I would choose 6 too, it's a good cage. :dbb1:

It honestly doesn't do a thing!! :bluebudgie: It's really hard to get it to focus properly. The image stabilizer is more for when you're using lots of zoom.

Yeah, that type of cage is just ridiculous. I can't see how it could be practical in any way, plus in my opinion it looks really tacky.

Start putting some money aside whenever you can. I put everything i wanted in the shopping cart, nearly fell over at the total cost, and had to be a lot more selective with what i wanted, hehe! :(Laughing out loud):

Any of those last three would be fine. Fancy shaped roofs are actually fun in my opinion. They allow you to hang toys at all different levels, and that last one would allow your bird to have different little areas. As long as the main part of the cage is a good size (which those last three are) then fancy roofs are 100% fine. I know someone who has the 6th cage, and she's very happy with it.
