As Elly mentioned in another post, it's not a good idea to move the nest box around. It's unsettling for them, and i'm sure quite stressful. I just thought it was worth mentioning here too, incase someone was reading and thought to try moving the nest box around too.
  2. It's pretty common for the older chicks to help feed the younger ones.
  3. Sounds that way to me too!!

You're budgies are gorgeous and i love the photos of your dogs! Thanks for posting!

I'm glad they've gone to a good home. They're both gorgeous birds.
  6. My grey tiel Cookie begs head scratches from all the boys. She squawks and runs off in a huff when they're too busy flirting to give her scratches. :oliveb:
  7. Thanks for all the kind comments! :ausb: You know the flock are always reading over my shoulder. :oliveb:
  8. Great picture! Congrats Marlon. :oliveb:
  9. Rocky is a sweetie by the looks of it! :oliveb:
  10. These are some pics that i took on Sunday night. Enjoy! The last three close ups i'm really happy with because i wasn't actually that close to the boys when i got them! As you can see Blinkie has a lot of "friends"
  11. Look at them all!! :oliveb: Gorgeous!
  12. Look at them all!!! And poor Blinkie is the worst... They're all pokey out! *turn* Don't look at me!! *sobs*
  13. Clever little budgies!! :(Laughing out loud):
  14. OMG!! I know those birds, i must have missed that post. How sad that he's having to rehome them. At least they're going to a fantastic home!!
  15. I don't think he'll have any troubles adjusting to the outdoor weather conditions. By the time you've got your house sorted out and have found the time to build an aviary it'll be summer/autumn (yes?) meaning you won't be putting him out in the middle of winter. My original 11 budgies were all indoor budgies for ages before i got my aviary, and they had absolutely no trouble adjusting.

I just wanted to add that it's important to let her keep her eggs until she gets bored of them, otherwise she'll just keep laying to replace the ones you take.

He reminds me of Ozzie in so many ways!! :ausb: That was a really cute video.

Blinkie still talks despite me having Ozzie and Fizzy (and the tiels, (Laughing out loud)). Ozzie's picked up a lot of the "talky" sounds that Blinkie makes too.
  19. Blinkie and Ozzie aren't looking their sexiest at the moment. Poor boys are covered in budgie zits (pin feathers, hehe). They never seem to get more than a few weeks of looking sleek and sexy before they start breaking out again, (Laughing out loud). Ozzie's hesitant to leave the cage, he doesn't want to show his face in public. Blinkie knows he looks good any time though, and poses for the camera, (Laughing out loud)!
  20. Ohhh, they're gorgeous!! :budgiedance:
  21. Sure is, Bea. They are " talking " all night long too Well that's a bit rude of them! They need to learn some manners.
  22. Must be even noisier at your place than usual, with all the flirting that's going on.
  23. Mine sometimes tumble out when clambering to get to the food source first. I just pop them back in the box when this happens.
  24. Welcome back Mr Sylvester.
  25. They're so cute!
