  1. well thats a possibility, the father may have done it
  2. i have a similar problem, when my hens layed for the first time, they ended up laying 2 then kicking them out of the nest, and a few weeks later they went back to the nest and layed a full clutch and are now sitting them, i think u will find most first time hen's will do this
  3. Ahh they are beautiful! cant wait to see pictures once they are starting to develop feathers!
  4. Aww, he looks cute,
  5. Another Update, 3rd egg hatched late last night, also my albino hen has layed her 4th, and so has my type 2 yellow face opaline cobalt hen, and my cinnamon green clearwing has a massive egg bum, but hasnt layed her egg yet, (she has been sleeping in her box for the past 2 weeks??) and also my quail have set up a nest with 2 eggs so far
  6. cinnamon and sweet-pie are my favourite's they all look beautiful, few young ones their to
  7. i can 100% guarantee the top one is a hen due to the white, as for the second picture, im preety sure its a hen to,
  8. Hmm, if your going to do breed them, get to it straight away, by the time she has completely hatched her youngen's it will be well into june maybe even july, so on second thoughts, probably not the best idea, the hens i have with eggs and youngen's are just gonna scrape it through the 1st month of winter so even then im taking a risk, although the dangerous stage is over (egg laying) so no fear's of egg bounding, for your budgie's safety, i wouldnt breed them again till late september early october.
  9. hahaha! classic picture! enter it into the budgie of the month competition
  10. The cock-bird Looks very unique, wouldn't mind one of them sort's in my collection
  11. i love how they are so timid and quiet even though they are not hand-reared.
  12. Aww their beautiful, my eldest is a few days behind them
  13. I just threw the large egg out ( from the other nest ...its not Omelettes ) ...as it had a hole in it. Checked contents of the egg and there were two embryos in there. aw thats a shame

  17. thanks very much for sharing this pearce, always wanted to see what they did in the box
  18. indeed, yellow face sky blue spangle, i think their's cinnamon too but the picture is kind of blurry
  19. second baby has hatched! one of the eggs was a darkish color in the egg, so im assuming DIS? and the reason that the hatching of the second chick was 4 days after the first
  20. keep it up kaz! cant wait for photo's when they are all started to develop feathers.
  21. Well i do not give my budgie's any sort of sunflower seed, too fatty and budgie's are prone to fat tumor's just like Galah's, unless my budgie is skinny and needs to put on some beef, then i would use little amounts, but as for general, just ordinary budgie seed, oats, canary seed, and safflower seed my budgie will stick to
  22. that is often a term used by women about stand up cardboard men in their lounge room, you can curse them throw stuff at them and whatever yet they still dont talk back
  23. its kind of confusing isn't it LOL The Budgie's Feet can mean either the feet of one budgie or the feet of more then 1 budgie

Ahahaha brilliant name...and like maesie said, get him a hand made robe, which shouldnt be hard to find, maybe you can go to K-mart or Big W and have a look in the doll's section, and try to find a nice looking barbie doll or kenny outfit that would fit the budgie
  25. indeed, i learnt that also, and how you are meant to say "I" instead of "Me" after you say the other persons name
