Omelette's Babies
Oh No!, more terrible news on top of the princess parrot's it was the best thing to do though, he would have lived a miserable life not being able to lift his head, and even then probably wouldn't have survived.

Beak And Feather Disease Disaster !
Oh dear, So sorry to hear the news Kaz excuse my French but it really Pi**es me off when people who have sick birds don't do anything to help them and worst of all, They hand the problem over to someone else, How cruel this world is sometimes. I hope for all the best with them little guys coming good again!

from what i can see, he looks alot younger then 13 months, i would say around 8-9 months as for the 15th month old, he could be alot younger then 15 months, but as liv said, hes either a "late bloomer" or is not in breeding condition Have you introduced him to any other hen's before?

A Few More Budgies
That YF grey spangle is a beautiful specimen, have she had any nests/baby's before? DF spangle split lutino and herself would have produced some nice chicks.

Twitter Pics
AWW! So cute, Twitter has excellent feather condition and posture, he's beautiful And your daughter seem's to have a passion for bird's to, always great to teach your kid's about bird's etc when their young, that way they develop more of an interest in bird's rather then going out partying etc when she's in her teen year's lol thats how i was taught anyways :hi:

Unusual Budgie?
And im Sure you hope you never get one :hi: what a terribly unfortunate circumstance for the budgie though, such a short lifespan, really sad.

1 Good Budgie And 3 Bad Budgies
hehe, the "bad" budgies as you call them, were not hand-reared/tamed when they were young, so they have no socialization with humans and are scared of them. its not the budgies fault,
-
Is This A Good Mix?
good point, buy a bag still just don't give him too much, maybe add a little of it to his original budgie mix and see how he go's,

New Baby's!
Update: 4/9 eggs hatched in total in the opaline's nest, 3 were infertile, 1 was broken, and the other hatched but the chick was terribly out sized and aged by the other chicks and was neglected from food (i tried fostering him to the other hen's with egg's but they pecked him with no consideration so i had to let the mother do her best, unfortunately he only lasted 36 hours, out of the chicks so far, 1 is pure lutino(the father is normal green until Kaz told me that is was split for lutino) and the other has somewhat dark and white pin feathers on its wing and a fuzzy body, and i'm not good with telling them from a young age so ill have to wait a bit longer the albino hen has stayed at 5 eggs all are fertile , which is perfect as she is only a little pet type, her first is due to hatch in the next 4 days. my T2 yellow face Opaline cobalt violet hen has got 6 eggs, 1 looking infertile and the her first is due to hatch in 5-6 days.. my green clear wing has still got a massive bum and still has not laid an egg even though she is sleeping all night in nest box, i fear she may be egg bound, but i cant say for sure other then that all is looking good in the aviary of love
