Just a question, is flecking good to have or is it better to have without the flecking when breeding? cause one of my hen's has got it to.
  3. she's growing fast kaz! bet you cant wait till she's older and take her for a massive shopping spree
  4. I have only seen golden cob in those big 20-25k yellow bag's... Produce store's have alot of it. and most usually open the bag and will bag some of it in 5kg lots for you. but im sure theirs some smaller bag's somewhere that you can get.
  5. Nah it's all good, I've got enough to look after  unless i get another aviary, which i might. ill probably just stick with the 24 i have and then ill maybe put some scarlet-chested parrot's in the new aviary or a pair of princess or even a cinnamon conure pair
  6. fair enough, she's a beautiful opaline, would be interesting to see in the future what she throw's and who her mate will be.
  7. i would love that green opaline hen, too bad i live over the other side of australia
  8. Wow, she's laying already unfortunately 3 days ago, i found the eldest cinnamon sky blue baby on the aviary floor huddled in the quail house with the quail's! so he left the nest earlier then i thought...but their all inside now, all the baby's.
  9. I find that female vet's are better, seeing that they have more of the "feminine" and kindness attitude towards animals etc. i suppose you could say they feel for the animal more then a male would. where as the male vet's tend to take everything so serious and such.
  10. Yeah. According to Gerald Binks in his book THE CHALLENGE greywing can hide itself for generations and pop up and surprise you Out of all the budgie's you have, is their any dilute's? wether it be gene or visual.
  11. oh sounds good, look forward to seeing more picture's once it progress's some more
  12. classic photo's, he definitely looks like grey-wing now
  13. ill leave this question to the more experience budgie owners/breeders,
  14. Oh goodie!, which part of the day is the aviary gonna benefit with the sun? morning, noon, afternoon?
  15. Grey-greens have always been my favorite, but i'm more into breeding Opaline's and spangle's, although i still have a few grey-greens in my aviary
  16. She is a green opaline hen chick Hehe, thought so, its very visable in the wing texture. she's gonna be a very nice specimen when she's older.
  17. That 3RD last picture is beautiful, what sort is he gonna be once the feathers properly come through i can see opaline in him. i think?
  18. no way, i rent so no full on pets, (not that my birds arent full on anyways :rofl) if i had a farm, it would be a different story.
  19. Ollie sounds good to me
  20. she never has time on her hands but she's got a new house with 68 acre's of fresh grass for her horse's, and has a private home business with horse veterinary, and she's doing great.
  21. this one was doing so well it is already out in the aviary Pearce Taken today for Pearce.................. great posture, he stands very tall and strong. good specimen and now any new pictures of the new bubz the same ones that have the dilute?(greywing?) etc.
  22. my lutino hen is sort of the same, shes been in condition for 8 weeks now, she was quiet etc beforehand but now that she's moulting while in condition, she has preety much destroyed half of the breeding box she has picked and is extremely pissed off ...i went to pat her yesterday and she latched on to my finger and wouldnt let go even when i moved my hand etc she still stayed on, extremely grumpy, and when she is in the box, she screams and screams when im in the nesting room, im thinking about getting rid of her, dont think she will make a good mother.
  23. The first one is my favourite cause he's black but the 2nd looks nice also, almost identical to my aunti janine's horse, she owns a horse veterinary clinic in sydney, but has now moved to grafton, and somehow managed to take all her horses with her she has about 6 or 7
  24. :o wow...3 grams LOL! looks the size of a quail egg
