  1. Indeed, could do with another toy or 2, budgie's get bored easily but seeing that their's a few of them in their, they probably wont need them. does she seem happier now that her foot is amputated? like her temperment for example?
  2. Oh wow!....the vet did the right thing then, that looks seriously infected....waited any longer it could have gotten worse and gone up the leg more.....she will be in less pain without it
  3. aww, well im not experienced with this sort of matter, but its obvious it hasnt been taken care of before it was put into the gutter (or flown away into gutter) maybe u should see a vet and maybe they can fix the problems....not like they do anyways....all they have done for me is take my money and not once have they fixed my bird problems.... i hope for the best
  4. any updates on her?...this is why i get pissed off with vet's to...they assume everything, make u pay top money to have them fixed, and yet they still dont do **** to fix it....the vet obviously has no idea what he's doing....tumor from a cut? come on.... i'd sue him if he lets the poor thing die from it
  5. Very nice Kaz, 9 egg's is a *** of alot of egg's how old is she?
  6. Fantastic...keep up the good work, wont take long now mate.
  7. Read my first post Pearce....I asked the same question and HiPeeps logged off. Until we have more to go on, why speculate ?? well...their's really no other reason to put olive oil on a budgerigar unless its used for scaly face, so thats my theory, and yes your right, not enough info supplied so we cannot speculate on what hes using it for
  8. agree'd with everyone, at least 3 month's old and you can visibly see the brown resemblance in the cere, so its a hen for sure
  9. Well, it should'nt effect it, as many people use it for scaly face, just be careful when applying to the face...he might ingest it into his system
  10. well, i have 10 pair's of budgie's in the large aviary i have, and i also have 4 grassparrot's who are very quiet, and i was wondering if it's okay for grassparrot's to be in the same aviary as budgie's?? i havent seen budgie's fight yet so i was hoping it would be the same result with the grassparrot's to
  11. dont worry about it then, ill ask a vet
  12. Shouldnt be a problem
  13. Well, each morning ive been checking my button quail chicks, they are all feathered except for the head, and they seem to have some sort of wing problem, when they walk they spread their wings out as if their struggling very harshly to walk, all of them are doing it and its really getting on my nerve's not knowing what the cause is, Kaz suggested to me on yahoo that i take the father away, but he's always taken care of them (from what i've seen anyways) im just really conufsed as to what's doing it and how to stop it....ive lost 2 already from it, i checked them after they died, both the wing's were broken and the leg's had no life in them before death.....any suggestions to what it could be? they have had plenty of food including mealworm's, egg & biscuit and millet(budgie seed) and fresh water always, as well as a nice home for them :glare:
