Urgent, help, help
Great info there I'm glad you know the problem now sam, and that your birdie gets back to normal soon. I'm hoping this jealousy deal works wonders with Tootie and Jangles, they don't even know what a Millet spray is all about!!

Flight/Breeding Cages
Do they interlock? I've seen them alone in pet shops, they are REALLY wide. Your birds will have a ball

Alfie
:(Laughing out loud): Silly me always thought she was a creamino from the small picture, not think of the differant one in your sig. Alfie looks like a yellowface type 2 grey-green cinnamon spangle. Now is that a mouthfull or what? I'm not 100% on the grey-green, hopfully pass or lady wil know.

rescued budgies
(Laughing out loud) I knew what you meant and knew you were been rude I believe not with it been wiped out like that. Blocking rude words doesn't pick out when it's in fact a correct term.

What do you think
Just normal black makings. nothing more than a Spangle That's right Rainbow. And wiht Pass giving us his comments I think it's safe to call him a opaline spangle pied.

rescued budgies
you know I'm starting to wonder if there is a difference in the way the aussie r.s.p.c.a works and the English one. One place I helped out at even had an ostrich (named chook chook )rescued there which they were find a place for on a farm. there is on way the ones i know of in my area would leave that sheep or the bird. And the dog would have been collected checked out then then placed in a foster home until the pups where old enough to leave mom. As to the fox well sorry to say it would have been put down (but at least collected) since they are a pest in aus killing our native animals.

rescued budgies
wow all this bad press with R.S.P.C.A! I know for a fact ( and I?m sure this will cheer Julie up a bit) that one close to me has a special bird room. And it's quite clear that the birds in it are happy, they get wild branches and gum leave to chew on and there is a small night room for owls and such that may come in. It's a bit hard with all the dogs to get away from the noise but it doesn't bother them. Have any of you seen the amount of animals that come to them? In puppy and kitten seasons it can be well over a thousand for one pound in a month! I will agree though that I have since found a place that really works hard to find a home for all their animals. Lin the news about the puppies is terrible since young cats and dogs are the easiest to find new homes for. The public seem to think anything over the age of 2 is far too old to love!

Questions
I haven?t used ring before, but if I did they would be from the budgie society in my area which are metal and the correct colour for that year. As to the second question removing the hen is a wiser choice to stop another clutch because at the end of weaning it is the father that feeds the babies.

What do you think
I looked before I can't see any sign of greyness in his wings. I like the light in the last picture and his punk syle head in the other one

yeah I thought that was funny and just like a budgie. Thinks everything in the world is theirs. not that we would stop them of cuase.

wow look at this boy
I was just glancing around some budgie websites and came aross this site and totally fell for this little man. I would love to have a clone of him, well maybe not with his news since any clone would get it too, but still Have a look :fear http://anduin.eldar.org/~carol/budgies.html I really like the one about four pics down of just him, the colour on his body is really differant, almost black

What do you think
I don't think he is a grey wing, the patterns don't look soft enough. As to the opaline he could be with that touch of blue coming though but is he like that in real Life or is it the bit if blue you can see coming from white feathers with the light?

opaline violet clearwing pied?
There are heaps of websites showing colours and talking about genetic but none that have stood out in my mind to recall. You can try a google sreach for budgie colours or something like that. What do you mean by differant? differant to the other bird? Is it lighter in colour more grey? Or does it look like the colours are swaped around? edit- This place might help http://www.budgiebreeders.asn.au/budgie%20pics.htm and bea has a website which a lot of pics telling you what colour her birds are. (hope she posts cause I don't remember the address for it)

New babies
:(Laughing out loud): I can just see him glancing at them in the way dugies do with their head tipped to one side, ruch out and nibble or push at one then look at you as if to say "What sort of toy is that? It doesn't even make a sound"

talking treats
I know chirpy very silly, mine didn't Budge it was just in a packet of about 150 grams. I didn't think to look at the price of it just thought how stupid are companies to push that?
-
opaline violet clearwing pied?
yeah I thought of that afterwards Lin. Maybe I should add a note, "only read answers posted by Pass" If you can it may be easier to post pictures of your two little ones and the ones that know this sort of jazz can tell you what they are then that will give you a place to start.
-
talking treats
Yeah that sounds like the same sort of think. I can just see the every day joe blow seeing that and thinking " oh if I get that my bird will talk with out me even having to do any work"

talking treats
Hi all, the other day while jumping from one pet store to the next in my area (I was looking for breeding cages but that's not the point here) When looking at the differant type of seeds one place had one bag jumpe dout at me called Budgie talking treats. It made it seem as if you fed your bird this sutff they would talk better. Well, in the little window (i'm sure you know what a mean the clear bit that shows you what's in side) it just looked like normal budgie seed mix. Not even added grit or dried fruit or vegges Silly advertizing. There was also bags for canaries called singing treats. I think it was by aristopets but i'm not sure and I can't find a picture of it anywhere online Has anyone else seen them?
