Oh No!
actully she is late in starting another clutch most budgies will start laying again when the babies are around the 5-6 week mark, som every earlier. does she seem in stress? Is this different then the last time she was laying? If yes then I would think a trip the vet may be in order.

Just Curious...
Unless you want green babies don't pair him to a green bird (unless you know it's either split for blue or is a YF/goldenface) What about a blue pied?

New Aviary
I in fact pick up the calalog every time I go to bunnings (which is maybe twice a a year :fear) I was interesting in the bottom one this time for $500. But no where to put it Then there is the fact that a 30 merter roll of mesh os only $100.

Breeding Cages
I left the toys and such in the cage when I bred but they didn't pay any attention to the, way to busy with the caring of babies. This way was how I had my nest box set up and I had to pull it right out of the cage to handle the babes and clean up, I did workout a way to lift the lid with a bit of wire so I didn't have to move it every day to check the babies. Freckle took the disturbance really well, but I wouldn't trust to do that with a bird I didn't know as well or had tamed from a young age.

New Aviary
I've seen that advertised before. It's a nice one, I would try to work in a double door, even if you have to build it yourself as an attachment to it. But that is me who would freak about my birds getting out.

I Need Some Ideas
it's good to offer to birds to learn to eat seeds, it seems to be easier for them to shell. As lin saidonly a couple a days a week max since it is fattering.

Breeding Box Cards
interesting I added a lot of that in the table I made in word to keep all my notes in . here is a picture: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v406/NerwenFuzz/chart.jpg The 8th day was for me to 'try' and candle them from what I read in a book, I know now that is too late to see anything.

What Colours
Ahh that had already been talked about and worked out sorry Not sure if it was in this thread or another now. I was simply calling them green still becuase I didn't want to breake Shell's mind Here is the link: http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index....wtopic=6140&hl= This is where it was worked out she had two yelowface type two spangle budgies Sorry Lady I must have missed your first post asking for help I'm not sure about the yes when young, but I can see them having plum eyes like a recessive pied bird getting darker with age. Nice pics and the names a perfect. Don't worry about seeing them out of the box 5 weeks old is perfect for them to start exploring, have you got a branch right next to the box just in frotn of it so they can stay close to the hole and climb back when they wish.

I Need Some Ideas
yep as lin said, also it help with the conditioning of the bird to give them the fresh fruit, veg and egg food before they are laying and feeding young.

Lying On Back
I thought of a stoke too. Is both of is legs behaving the same (ie- not working0 or just one?) How long has this been going on? Maybe a trip to a normal vet would be better than nothing.
-
A Colection Of Random Questions
As eterri said but for a more detailed answer, females should be stoped at 3-4 years while males can continue until 6 years. Well maybe the talking gene is sex-linked and need two X's to work

What Are The Colours?
sorry The white circle around the eye is called the iris ring, just like our own iris yet they don't get different colours like us. *Squints at picture* The cere looks very puprle so I think you might have a male there. If the bars on the head go all the way to the cere then he hasn't had his first moult yet so away where from 6 weeks to around 3 months. ans yes a picture of his back would help.
-
What Are The Colours?
*falls over* I think you might be lin A better shot of the wings would help but looking at the bars it seems right. Your green recessive pied is a looker too, but that little violet I just love If her (err she?) has an iris ring then i'm wrong and he is a dominant. When did you steal Jangles from me He is a nice one too, hope he is all fine. (oh and he is a grey spangle )

Breeding Box Cards
why not make your own?? You have a computer and so I guess a printer. Make at albe and add the info you want to have to fill out and there you are. Then you don't have to worry about spaces left because you don't want to or need to fill that bit out.

What Colours
Seeing those new pics (soooo cute) I really think they are double factor spangles. Having seen pics of baby ablinos and lutinos they have really Bright almost alien sort of eyes.

-
Up To Six Eggs Now
yep she can have up to nine, but since this is your only pair I hope not all will hatch because seven is a lot of mouths to feed. Have you got everything ready in case you have to help out and handfeed some or all of them? Feeding formula and implements?

Guess The Colours
