  1. I dunno Libby, have you met a NZ brushtail!?
  2. And both scream at the top of their lungs so it's a fair trade
  3. He was stained as a baby from a medication put on his injuries and it is only now moulting out.
  4. When I went to NZ there were shops selling possum fur items including bedspreads! If it wasn't for the fact that I don't know whether I would have got it back to aus (doubtful) I would have bought one, it would have been very luxurious to sleep under. I love possums and I don't condone the breeding of animals specifically for skins but I have no issue with making use of the furs of feral animals which are being killed anyway.
  5. Doers this photo help? He sounds alot like a greywing version of my 'Blondie' http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x259/er...ax/DSC00728.jpg
  6. I think he said he sold them all but it's worth asking. I can lend you my wooden double for the moment if you like to try. If I can manage it the it middle divider comes out to make it bigger, the nest boxes are fixed up the top but that probably won't matter, she'll just ignore it anyway.you could unscrew the front and stick another one on the floor if you wanted to. That's a great price, if you don't want them all I'll take a few abnd share the cost with you
  7. Trya and pick a cock with plenty of experience

  10. He is a tufted TB, I thought he was cute I hope I get something out of them too TB, if they don't start showing some interest in each other soon though (instead of completely ignoring each other!) I might be nudging you for AI advice
  11. AV a sheet of newspaper fits perfectly in the bottom of those cages, why not just put some paper on top of the grill for the moment
  12. Ya think? I thought it was a hen originally but being a pied I'm hopeless at sexing them
  13. No worries LB, you supply the $$$$$$$$ and I'll be in on the competition
  14. He's still a skinny little guy. I suspect he will always be a bit runty I'm hoping that once he has finished this big moult he might be able to devote a bit more of his energy stores to growing outwards
  15. You're right, I should do a punnet square before I answer these sorts of things
  16. Assuming he is not carrying the YF gene then all th chcks should be single factor (visual) YF
  17. Yeah except this one doesn't scream at me and throw it's toys
  18. Yes Neat, but you can't know in advance what your albino is masking unless you have a detailed history
  19. Quick update after having had this little fella for nearly two weeks now. Well he's FAT! He's a total pig, he eats twice as much as he should be and he's developing lovely little chubby cheeks. He sees me coming now and run and jumps into my hands. Then: Now:
  20. I have been trying to work out why I could hear budgies down near my laundry. Then I realised it is the lorikeets in the bathroom on quarantine who have picked up budgie and are chatting the the budgies at the other end of the house
  21. That trophy is sitting on my shelf right now, I think it's hysterical
  22. At the moment he looks like he's been ipped feet first in a mud puddle
  23. Do you mean he is white face or that he is double factor yellow face (which looks white)? If he is a normal white faced budgie (ie, not carrying the YF gene at all) then your chicks should all have yellow faces,
  24. ALL of your babies will look like the dad as far as colouring goes. He is yellow face type 2 and this is dominant and will apear in every chick
