  1. Never heard of Craigslist, I'm gonna ask on freecycle in case someone has an old one that will do for a couple of months.
  2. My father in law sent me this, it's AMAZING!! Even if you don't particularly like horses this video is worth a look. The things this horse can do are incredible and it looks like it's having a ball! It's over six minutes long but watch the whole thing if you can it gets better as it goes, if you make it to the end watch those hooves as moulin rouge comes on, every hoof beat is in perfect time to the music. http://beboframe.com/FlashFrame.jsp?Size=S...oxId=3309347442
  3. Well as if I didn't have enough on y plate with kids, new job, wedding and new breeding room being built my washing machine took it's last breath today I'll have to take a load to the laundromatte tomorrow as there is too much for me to hand wash. I really can't afford a new one until after the wedding so I'll just have to hand wash until then.
  4. I have got some great deals on aquarium plants on ebay too I used to work for a wholesaler and buy all my fish at wholesale prices, now I have only got two goldfish as I can't bear to pay retail
  5. We here on BBC call that an excuse to get another budgie or two I'll have some babies available soon
  6. Personally I would think having it painted would make cleaning easier but you have to make sure you use a non-toxic paint
  7. Is she already sitting on the egg? If she is and you move it now she might not sit on it and then you would loose that chick. Personally if she is inside the house and draft free I would put a cut down icecream container on the floor and put her egg in it so it still has an open top. The nest box should have been put in her cage a couple of weeks ago if she was trying to nest, she has nesting theire because you didn't give her a choice. You shouldbe checking her nest a couple of times a day not once or twice a week.
  8. Will have a bit more of a look at the birds and also talk to some breeders at the club on Thursday. I know he had quite a few birds that came from other breeders so I might be able to check the rings and get something fom someone else anyway.
  9. Cinnamon grey hey, is that your recommendation? I think he did have a cinni grey but she was pet type not show type. He might have a big grey normal or a grey green normal though... I'll have to see what he'll part with. It might cost me about $40 though, worth it do you think if I can find nice hen?
  10. okay well I will have to pick out a different hen for him, might give the bloke a call and ask him if I can change my mind
  11. A normal hey, BUGGER, I picked an opaline hen thinking that's what I should do, he had some much better normal hens. Ah well, ya win some ya loose some, my fault for nt asking him either
  12. LB, I don't HAVE to put him with this hen, as I said I was a little low on choices for hens. What would be the criteria for a good match for him do you think?
  13. It's very 'old school' Pearce, we are now more enlightened
  14. Whare are they anyway? Fancy not being glued to their computers on a Saturday night just to answer peoples questions
  15. The male jumped out at me because he kinda reminded me of the bird on the budgie club drawing, with the narrow hips and the broad chest. He likes to sit up on the perch and just look beautiful, typical super model stuff
  16. I offered a few of my birds to someone today and got to pick a show type pair in return. I only had about five minutes to pick them so I hope I did okay. They are both opaline and the hen is a grey wing, I didn't really want a greywing but he didn't have any other hens that jumped out at me, I think she is a little long in the flights but he is a good length so hoping for better flighted chicks. He has a fairly clear head but is a little dark acros the V so I got the hen that was nice and clear across her head and V to complement his colouring. I hope I made the right choice there.
  17. Just to have a look... Bahahahahahahaha
  18. Does it have red or black eyes? They look black to me so it might be a double factor spangle
  19. Hey Neat SNAP!!!
  20. Do you think this is my best side...or maybe like this...and should I put my leg out like this?
  21. Well the man doesn't know about that plan yet but I'm sure he's expecting me to do something that crazy I've had a tawny frogmouth in a hotel room before so it wouldn't be anything new really
  22. I have seen a bird who I was told had inflamed air sacks. She was puffed up in general but most obviously around her neck, the vet originally thought it may have been fluid under the skin but when he tried to extract it with a syringe he got only air. Something along the lines of the air sacks had been filled with air but had become blocked and the air could not come out on it's own.
  23. No TB here NN He'll be coming to the wedding We have a suite to stay in for the night at the venue so we'll smuggle him in there in his box for the night. I only have to feed him every four hours so it won't be hard to duck down to the room and feed him.
  24. Sorry Nerwen, I know that, I worked that out and posted it in another post about yellow face but obviously didn't put it here too.
  25. I have tried to get Moidectin and couldn't get it in small amounts around here. You really have to have a 'contact' I think. I use Ivermectin to treat everything but I'm not sure about air sac mites.
