  8. I'm glad they're okay!!! I try to tell those close to me how much I love them. It's when you loose someone close to you that you realise how little you actually say it to them... My 3 year old nephew is such a sweetie... he can be playing and then just turn around and say... 'maeise'... I love you! It brings a tear to the eye... he is also started saying... "I love you more then a Tyranosaurus Rex" It's so cute... and so special. He always seems to pull it out at the most precious times too...

Mine call for the outside birds too. Try talking to him softly when he does it... He'll be right In time, you'll be his family!
  11. Great clear photos! Mine love corn too
  12. Feed a balanced diet of seed, fruit/veggies and native branches... Pellets do not solve everything. It is very presumptuous to assume only budgies feed seed suffer from these aliments. Before I knew any better, my family had a budgie who lived for years on seed, water and apples. He NEVER had such problems. Now that I know better, my birds get a varied diet, and allowing them to forage through their seed mix, fresh fruit/veggies and natural branches is not only good for their health, it's also very beneficial to their wellbeing... it keeps them busy and lets them behave somewhat like their wild 'brothers and sisters'
  13. I have PMed you... biggest hugs always
  14. I agree... I have had many pets die, but this is the most painful one...
  15. Congratulations LIV!!! It's great to have you around
  16. I shouldn't have read that Elly... (am now bawling my eyes out again... for the millionth time today) My family had to have our beloved cat put to sleep on Saturday. She was 13. Over the past years she was getting slower, in the past few weeks she wasn't eating as much and we put it down to old age. When she was rushed into emergency they said she was in the early stages of kidney failure. She had ulcers in her mouth and probably her throat and stomach. The vets said by her condition that she hadn't been suffering for long, but I feel so guilty... that I should have picked it up earlier... I hate to think she was in pain  I was also interstate when she was laid to rest. I feel horrible about that too. I wish I could have held her and said goodbye... My sister says that she was very peaceful and was puring and thanking her for letting her go. She also thinks she waited until I wasn't around as she and I were very close. I know 100% how you are feeling... my thoughts are with you...
  17. I have sent you a PM love
  18. You do not need to give them shell grit. They DON'T need it! Liv's egg is a double yolker as it has TWO yellow yolks in it.

  22. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts, words and prayers. I have also received many PM's. Thanks so much and sorry I haven't replied to them. I'm finding things very hard and overwhelming. We have a 4 hour drive up and back to my grandpa's funeral tomorrow. It's going to be a very long day. Um... that's all I feel like writing for now... I hope everyone's birds are doing well... maesie xo
