I agree Elly. I set traps in my aviary at home, but my lovely Father was kind enough to check and empty them for me. I just set them. When they start killing your birds or contaminating the food... they need to go!

If you can afford it, I would find out how he died. That way you can put your mind at rest.

I couldn't see any droppings in that photo, but it is normal for hens who are about to lay to have large droppings.
