  1. I wouldn't be pulling apart that bed anytime soon... it sounds like you'll need a lie down!!! You'll get there... and ELMO will love you
  2. Agree with others... and do you have a safety door? Well done mate, it looks fantastic! They are going to LOVE it... and with that view, why wouldn't they?!?!?!?!

They don't have to mate to lay eggs... but if she does... they will be empty. Egg bum is when their bums look large, it's kind of like a swelling around their vent. This means the egg is about to pass. If an egg drops, just remove it. She should stop after awhile. Also look for LARGE poo... the size increases as she is closer to laying... (That is if that is what it is :hap: )
  4. A risk, yes, but a calculated one. Hats off to you for spending money and time and researching what is best. An owner who cares... got to love that :hap: . Do keep us updated!

:hap: Excellent!!! Thanks so much for sharing. You must feel awesome :hap: It's nice to have some happiness around here!
  6. Poor fellow... They are a worry hey??? Good luck with getting his appetite back :hap:
  7. As long as you can type... that's all that matters! :hap:
  8. I understand that, but you are not the only one who uses shortcuts on your phone. Most others are able to use proper english when posting here. I suggest you read all of your posts before posting. You also need to add punctuation. I have again added full stops and capital letter to your above post. Just take the time to re-read. There is also an option to use spell check. Click on the 'abc tick' button and install it to your computer. Easy as!
  9. It will be all good! He will love living with you once he settles in mate.
  10. oh Neat!!! lol... And just to agree with Kaz, what you have built so far and are working on would be considered a cage, not an aviary. CAGE: AVIARY: (home built by Charlie2479)
  11. Well done!!! I too can't wait for pictures and to see it in real life
  12. So yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE it
  13. I agree with the others here... There are plenty of posts here with photos, perhaps you didn't look hard enough. As to dimensions and location etc... I can't tell you where to put one or how big to make it... my backyard probably faces a different way to yours and may be bigger or smaller. I also may own more or less budgies than you. Also, if you are after suggestions and assistance, I suggest you ask and not criticize others on how they post THEIR OWN TOPICS. There are ways of suggesting things with out coming across as you have. Here are 5 topics I found in about 5 minutes. ALL have photos and lots of ideas! They were all on the first page of the aviary topic too! Deb's aviary KAZ's Aviary Charlie2479's Aviary Neat's Aviary Zebra's Avairy
  14. Excellent news Liv... not long now!
  15. I'm really sorry they were all infertile. Better luck next time... and as Kaz said, it happens to the best of them. A good rest, great diet and they should hopefully do better next time
  16. I'd have to agree with Kaz here. Can we see some pictures of your birds, pairs and chicks JoEl. I'd love to see the outcomes of your so called 'expertise' you say you have. Your birds too... not photos you copy from the internet!
  17. So we did I must just do that... They have some great stuff and I've got to lok at the deals too!
  18. I studied Natural Resource Management and that is also the basis for my interest.
  19. Awesome. I'd love to know what they say when you get some answers
  20. Good idea... that's what I have been doing. They would step up and then I would take them out and put them on the play gym. I might go back to do that. You have good points. Thanks Elly!
  21. My two little rascals are doing well. They are now coming out of their cage on their own, which is excellent. I open their door, put up their ladder and let them be. It usually takes 2-5 minutes and once one come out, the other follows. I'm also noticing the different personalities. Dolce is definitely the cheeky mischievous one. She's the leader, the one to come out first, the one that doesn't want to do what I want her to do. She's started running away when I go to get her to step up when free time is over (this will NOT continue ) Gucci is not quite as adventurous. She'll happily follow Dolce around, but when I get up to see what they are chewing or getting into, she's like the kid that runs and hides... she's back on the play gym where she should be!!! They make me laugh
