Thanks everyone for the kind words about the pics. My budgies do give me endless hours of enjoyment. I love sitting and watching them interact. They aren't what you would call "tame" but I can get all but 4 of them to step up on to a perch to get them in and out of the cage. When out they will sit a few inches away from me on their play tree. We can still hold Max but I'm sure once his flights are in he will be more like the others. I'm a picture fanatic so there will be lots more coming

Are they at risk for snakes or other predators down there? I hope they all make it. Can't wait to hear about the emergence of the little bubs. Bet they'll be pretty!

I've taken quite a few photos of my gang over the last couple of days. I thought I'd share some with you all. Enjoy! Romeo and Sylvester found a new perch above my kitchen window. They are exploring the house more and more. A neat picture of Wylie in flight. Tweety the contortionist. Mr. Spikey Head - he thinks he's a 'tiel. Just a cute picture of Sylvester My studly boys Wylie and Sylvester Star ventured OUT of the cage for the very first time on her own. Look how pretty she is. Tweety checking out millet and then going for it! A group shot - almost everyone! And finally - little Max cuddled up in Lucas' collar.

What a beautiful family of budgies. I love spangles. I'm going to go against the flow and say that you have a male baby. Can you post a few more pictures of the baby with closeups of the cere?

I think 4 females as well. I'm a little concerned about the bird in the second picture. The beak looks a little rough/pitted which could mean it has scaly face mites. The lutinos are very lovely!!! In fact they all are.

yeah! I can't wait to see more pics. Your budgie is my favourite colour ever. I hope to get a spangle that colour some day. Thanks for the comment re my flock. They are great. Wylie is really an awesome green. He looks flourescent at times. I'll be posting some new pics soon. And I have tons in the pictures thread if you look back. And look out - they really are addictive. I started with two in January and now I have 12 - yikes!!!!

Gorgeous bubs. I was going to say how interesting that they all took after dad considering he is recessive. Mom must have been split for it. Citronella is really striking! And Lemon is very interesting looking. Hardly a wing marking. Do you know exactly what her mutation is?

Thanks Lovey, I can see the blue now (my work computer) - my monitor at home must be bad because it looked completely white to me and most budgies are looking cinammon these days. Time for a new one I guess.
