:fear My little Apple use to hate water so i started him in water that was just deep enough to wet his toes in a small dish lid.. as he got more confident in it I increased the amount of water and changed the container lid into the actual container he seemed to not notice the difference and now i cant keep him out of water :(Laughing out loud): Cheers :beer: Una

My little Budgie Mig liked his when he was little but doesnt go into it much now he still is snuggly though and will lay down flat out like a pancake on my chest while i rub his back as he falls to sleep :fear Cheers :beer: Una

Kirby he say's EVERYTHING that Apple say's except for the "Beep Beep Beep" thing that Apple does (Laughing out loud). and Lovey, even with the old extension they hardly ever came out, only just for a little look about and to stretch their wings. I put their fave toys and treats out there for them and they come out for them but once they have finished its straight back into the shed :sad: . And Karen trust me, I have done the chicken thing on a number of occasions just to get them out of the shed, but they just fly straight back in I have weird Budgies... But lots of room to add something else heheee...

Thanks everyone, The pond will have a small wire mesh covering so the most the birds will get wet if they land on it is their toes, there will be many tropical fish in the pond to keep the mosquitos away so they wont have a chance of breeding and i also have got a water filter and pump system with a cute lil fountain to keep the water moving.. Umm all i was worried about was the water conditioner and the budgies :sad: the rest of the pond is %100 safe and no risk of drowning accidents etc... Cheers :beer: Una

Cool thank you for the information, Ill look into it a little bit more and decide what i'm going to do .. Even with all the room in there, honestly my budgies seem to prefer being in the shed part of the aviary, i'm not sure if its just because its what they are use to since its what they were in before all the extensions, they only come out to do a few laps etc a couple of times a day.. I am thinking about partly enclosing the back half of the new bit i have added on to give a little more shelter and if i introduce new birds, ill introduce them to this area first

How does water conditioner for fish ponds and budgies mix? I'm in the middle of making a frame for the pond to go in the aviary, but have only just realized it might not be any good health wise to actually install it.. Anyone know or have a pond in their aviarys that could give me the ins and outs of water conditioner? Cheers :beer: Una

Yeah i have heard and seen of people doing this also, and it looks rather pretty too with the discs shining from the trees but the birds seem to not like it one little bit (apparently)

I have to add that i have actually noticed that Munchkins poops are not as firm now that he is moulting, althought he could just be drinking heaps of water in the cage before i uncover them of a morning But since his has started moulting it has been different
