If you love Apple, Mavi Kus, you really should do a trawl through the old posts to find some of the apple and munchy videos. Apple is a comedy genius. He is rather a silly sausage

You can hear them saying "What you doing" not too bad and they do say "Come on" too, normally its a "Come on -talk to me" and they love love to say "I love you" which is a favourite of mine... Normally i just get a mix something like "Hey cutie.. Weeeee, Talk to me.. Come on -talk to me, I love you.. beep beep beep beep, Hey Munchy what you doing?" and anything else they want to chuck in there Apple always says to me "I love what your doing" hahaaa. They come up with "Hey Beautiful" and "Pretty Bird" and a whole heap of other stuff that i just don't remember till one of them actually does it. you should see him when he has his hair long and it falls in little ringlets down his shoulders (Laughing out loud) he looks just like a Musketeer heheee.... :budgiedance: Now i remember why i dont post many pictures of Apple, Munchy and Mig on here.. What a task trying to get them still enough for the camera to atleast focus on them, then its an even bigger task to get them to stay still long enough to click the button to take the picture :budgiedance:.. Introducing to you the new babies in my aviary... This little one is the older one out of the three, and possibly the most shy one out of the three This is the middle one and the one ive really fallen in love with :budgiedance: Such a beautiful little bub .. YaY I'm excited.. I have two breeding pairs separated in another aviary and have been keeping my fingers crossed for a few weeks now. One of the hens, a sky blue opaline has paired up with a little pied male and they have had babies before but she is the one that seemed to be squashing them with all her weight, so as yet she has had no succesful clutches. She is sitting on one solitary egg and it looks like its coming along as it should and if all goes right it should hatch towards the end of the week (give or take a day or two (Laughing out loud)). And the other hen is my violet girl who hooked up with Mr Cobalt .. She is in breeding condition and he is very caring to her but he just didn't seem to understand the breeding part .. Anywayyyy.. I was out in the garden yesterday watching them and the violet hen seemed to be in a lil discomfort sitting on the perch, then before i could blink my eyes, out popped a little egg ...SMASH all over the ground I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will have another soon and work out that the egg actually needs to go in the nesting box.. Last week I introduced 3 new little chicks into the aviary (parents are Apple, Munchy and Migs parents) so ill have to get some pictures of them to post later and its been a fair while since the inside trio had pictures posted so ill try get some of them too although they don't stay still for long enough so its really really hard :(Laughing out loud): Just thought id share the antics of my aviary.. awwww poor little Spaz... (thats the cutest name too ) Definitely keep Spaz separated from the other birds and if you are going to start treatment using the Vasaline, id probably start it right away so that Spaz doesn't have too much longer to wait just incase it doesn't work. Just be sure to apply it neat and not get it on his feathers as it wont wash out and also around his face be sure to not get it in his eyes or his lil nasal vents, you could try applying it with a Q-tip to get a more accurate spread. The mites are contagious and will also even burrow into wood, this is how they are mostly passed on to other birds also, So make sure you totally clean anything he has come into contact with and if it was me, just as a precaution id probably chuck out and replace any of his wooden perches/toys etc etc.. I use to have a great link on this topic but for the life of me i cant find it to share with you, although if i do find it again ill make sure i post it.. :hap: I just went and took a few photos of her for you Bea.. the pictures don't do her colour any justice though, they make her look blue (Laughing out loud).. although you can sorta see her wings.. In this picture you can sorta see her purple cheek spots :hap: Here she is sitting with the love of her life, the photos don't do his colour any justice either. Wing shots.. She has a really clear patch between her shoulder blades too which is really pretty, i'm not sure if you can tell from the photos but her wings are a beautiful pale brown/grey colour. Oh how i wish id taken a camera over to have taken a photo of her. Imagine if you will a fish and how its scales sit, this budgie was a mix of lime green and golden feathers almost in placement like fish scales halfway down her body leading to a lime green butt.. I had never seen green and gold look so darn good I have fallen in love with her just a shame they changed their minds

:fear Thanks for that, the one in the picture isn't mine, its just a picture i found with google just to show a bird similar to what i was explaining. The one this woman has is rather quite mottled on the top section to mid way on her chest and wings, its a real mix up of lime green and yellow.. looks so adorable.. this doesn't change what she is? She would still be a light green opaline? hehee im thinking if i impress her with my "knowledge" she might give in and finally let me buy her :ausb:

Whats the budgie on the right of the photo, the green and yellow one? and can you get them with a little more yellow on them than this one? also the green is a real lime green.. A lady phoned me up willing to sell me her budgie that looks like this but her boys changed their minds and so now its a no deal, but ive fallen in love with her colourings ... Cheers :beer: Una
