This is the very reason that im happy i called Munchkin the name that i did PHEWWWW he was a beautiful blue but is now a sea green colour :hap:

:hap: just disregard anything i may have written in the original post Apple, Munch and Mig stay inside away from the main aviary. In the aviary though is their parents and a few of their siblings Sorry for the confusion, i have learnt my lesson to not post while in a rush I should add.. in the photos its Apple Munchy and Migs PARENTS and also two of their siblings.. Apple Munch and Mig are NOT in the avairy heheee

Im hoping to steal five minutes sometime today to go and sit with the lil ones again but i have both daughters home pretty sick at the moment so i cant promise more photos yet (although the chances are highly likely :hap:) they are such addictive little things

They are both beautiful, Ive fallen inlove with the Hen and all her cheek spots..

Just knowing how soft little budgie feathers are AWWWWW thats too sweet, Oscar looks so snuggly and soft Im now considering wearing my glasses more often

Apple Munch and Mig have never been in the aviary, its there parents who are in there along with many other siblings, Apple n co were all hand raised and have been inside from a very early age they are my babies..

the poor lil darling, I wouldnt have even thought about the dangers of a paper towel roll.. I hope she recovers fully and its great her little man is looking after her so well

I don't know if you remember a few months ago i got three poor lil ones with scaly face that i was treating? Well they are all better now and mixing in with the rest of the aviary gang great here they are before.. and here are some pictures of them now (sorry if they are dark) This lil girl had a ripped cere when i got her, i never healed but she is looking so much more healthy now and all her scaly face is healed I'm just amazed at how beautiful they are now they are all better, I'm so glad i was able to get them when i did. I thought this picture made him look soooooo cute I may as well chuck in a couple of other pictures i have of some of the other birds in the aviary, they are my scruffy crew going through a horrible moult, the poor lil tikes Cheers :beer: Una

I don't know why they have had the change in heart (could be all the vegetables in my pockets ) But i'm finally being accepted in the aviary they all fly and land on me now as soon as i enter WOOT i'm sooooooo excited ...oh yeah i took some pictures of them while i was in there just now .... First as always is Apple, Munchy, Mig and plenty of others parents, on my knee One of there bubs from a few clutches back joins in Mum decides to join back in Silly little Pigglet looks on from above.. And dad decides it time for round two I got some footage of them feeding on my lap and was REALLY excited because little Bubblegum decided that she would join in also, but ill post that on another topic Just a random shot of one corner of the aviary, i decide to get rid of the pond as the fish kept getting stuck in the pump It doesn't look too bad with a few pots of grass chucked in it instead (Laughing out loud) and the lizard likes to sleep under there. Here is the dad again, even though i'm use to budgies on my fingers, his little feet feel so soft I have fallen in love with them all just that little bit more the last few days and i didn't think that was possible.. I went out into the aviary to take some photos but only managed to get two shots before the batteries went flat (Laughing out loud).. Introducing my new babies I put them in a little container and had them on the ground and mum n dad were eating celery beside them and then they would lean over to give the lil ones a feed This is a picture of when they were younger with a proud although exhausted daddy looking on I might try and see if i can find some more recharged batteries as the photo bug is getting its grips on me Cheers :beer: Una

WoW what a roller coaster ride that last hour and a half has been reading this thread :hap: I feel so sad that i've missed so much Hugs to both you and Ken.. So many babies, fur and feathered and unfortunately with new life comes the passing of others .. My heart was torn out reading some of your posts Karen and then within a post it was so uplifted again.. Hopefully i will be about a little more for longer periods of time to actually post a lil more and read more posts that are made, I love reading about your aviary antics and everything and i feel i cant apologize enough for not posting or commenting before to say i do appreciate this thread and enjoy it HEAPS.. Crickets photos are so beautiful, i've never seen a dog look so exhausted before hahaaa, all the pups look adorable and healthy, I can just imagine all that sweet smelling puppy breath i love when puppys bite your nose and the warmth of their little breath flushes over your cheeks :hap: AWWWWWWW (Laughing out loud) Thank you again Karen for this thread Cheers :beer: Una

Hey Kirby sorry i didnt respond a lil sooner as ive been way busy, but anyways i LOVEEEEEEEE that huge cage of yours, oh i want oneeeeeeee.. All of your budgies look so sweet and i noticed in the close up shots, they all have that snuggly baby look about them still They look very much loved, you can see it reflecting back in their wee lil faces

HAHAAAAAAA So cute and very cleverly put together, thats going to have me giggling for a while i think As a bunch of photos they are all very cute but by you adding the captions its pure Comic Relief :hap: :hap:

Great cage (Laughing out loud) your little one will be lost with so much extra room.. I'm not sure on what type of rope ladder you are referring to but thought id mention to be careful if the rope is tied into tassels on the ends, Id thought not alot about this and have had one in the aviary for years, Late yesterday afternoon i went out into the aviary to find my little budgie Pigglet hanging on with one foot and the rope was tangled around her neck I managed to cut her down and untangle it from her neck, she had no external damage and I'm just hoping the shock wasn't too much for her, id have bought her inside but she flew off to be with her boyfriend and he was being very attentive to her.. Great nesting box you have made over there Daz, I wish i had your nesting box making skills though, I think im going to attempt (when im not so busy) a nesting box like the one Karren has posted pictures of.. but being the slack thing that i am, I have issues cleaning out the boxes with top opening lids and was wondering how the front sections would go hinged opening from top to bottom

Apple and Mig are i think Glued together they wont go anywhere without each other and always sit beak to beak with Apple whispering and blowing her/him kisses. Mig has a totally different nature to the boys aswell, although s/he talks really quite well s/he is alot more timid and will only be held under his/her conditions etc etc.. Oh and is easily freaked out by sudden movements Now that Apple n Mig seemed to have paired up, poor Munchy is lost and is constantly running about after us like a little puppy wanting his belly scratched he has taken to chasing us about which is soooooo unfair as his flying is alot faster than my running I feel really sad for the little man actually...

I cant wait to see the little ones..

Hmmm ill try and post this again for the third time.. each time i type it all out, paste in my pictures and then go to preview it, it tells me there is a page error and i lose the whole lot GRRRRRR ANYWAYSSS... I was trying to post some pictures to show you my little he that i think is turning into a she .. Miggys cere is going an oatmeal colour but the photos don't do the colour any justice, they look alot more pink in the pictures than they really are.. Excuse the salad... but can you see around the flares how its going brownish slightly?
