If you don't want green birds why have them? Nobody told anyone I needed more greens :hap: It just so happens that some people on here said I didnt have many green series birds awhile back. When I got into show budgies, it was said that the size and type of the bird was more important than colour and that is where all the green birds comes in. It is easier to get green series show type birds than blue. the green I believe takes you back to the basic budgie, it is very favored in the show ring, along with strong points. I am sure there is more and Kaz or another shower will come and enhance my answer :hap:. Not exactly. Green being a dominant colour type....you end up with greens more easily when breeding show types. In show birds, it is all about size and type not colour as much. Getting the shape of the bird and its feather condition right is paramount over colour. There are just more green birds available to us than blue. Right now it is very hard to get blue series birds of a decent size in show type. Edited May 26, 2007 by Kaz Link to comment
