I'm pretty sure that they're all fine.
  2. :(Laughing out loud): Awww, look at those innocent faces! Of course they didn't do anything! :(Laughing out loud):

I think it's just a budgie thing, Blinkie dive bombs Mickey and Buffy (the dogs).

Grrrr....my brother is still annoying me! I asked him why he did such a half-assed job looking after my budgies and he said "if they were mine i'd take care of them properly" me: "well that was your chance to prove it" Tim: "I hate budgies" GRRRRRR.....still could've looked after them properly butthead!! I'm pretty sure that mum paid him for "looking after" my budgies too, though neither will admit to it.

One day i should get a cockatoo and then they'd see what a life controlling bird would be like! :(Laughing out loud): Most of the time i tell them "well i don't mind organising my life around them" and i know that they really do know that i know what i'm talking about because if one gets sick i can always get mum on my side nagging dad to drive me to the vet. Mum would pay for a taxi to take me if dad wouldn't.

No, it's a family thing here. If i even start to mention daily veggies, "why are you so obsessed with those budgies?!" and if i try to explain that you can't keep a budgie cooped up in a tiny cage all day "those budgies control your life!"

Never rely on a family member to appreciate the care budgies need in my case i'm afraid.

All i asked was that he looked after my budgies for 4 days!!! Well i came home and in Blinkie's and Ozzie's cages there were perches fallen down and Ozzie had broken a couple of blood feathers in his wing. Luckily it had stopped bleeding by the time i got to it but Tim "didn't even notice", there was blood all over his wing!!!!! I also asked him to give the aviary budgies a handful of endive on top of their seed each day. I prechopped all the endive and other veggies i asked him to give Blink, Oz and everyone else. He fed Blink and Oz fresh veggies but not the budgies in the aviary because "i was trying to do it as fast as possible"!!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!! I could murder him!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. Blinkie used to destroy my homework too, still does....when i do it.

Look at that last photo!! Super cute!
  12. Second last photo is stunning!! hi Bobby! Bea misses you!
  13. The violet on his wings doesn't show well in any of those pics. It's really really purple!
  14. OMG!! :D ....enough said. :(Laughing out loud):

    That is the cutest photo!!
  16. I think that you should help with the taming. You son is only 8 and i'm sure his little fingers would be much more sensitive to a budgies vice grip.
  17. I hope he pulls through, poor little guy.
  18. I would say that her pattern is changing with each moult. My budgie Blinkie got a black spot in his wing pattern after one moult, and i think i remember Una's budgie Apple's tail colour changing from yellow to blue. I wouldn't worry about the change.
  19. That looks like scaley face to me! Ring an avian vet and ask if they can give you some ivermectin. It should cost about $10 for a small bottle with an eye dropper. One drop behind their neck (like dog flea treatment) and then repeat treatment 2 weeks later. I had one budgie come down with really bad scaley face and the little bottle treated all 26 (at the time) of my budgies twice and i still had enough to do it all again if another got it.
  20. I used the holding method on Ozzie but he was really young. I think your best bet will be bribing them with their favourite food or toy.
  21. Gross! Mice are scary, especially gross wild ones....the pet ones are okay.
  22. Well she did inspect the nest box, she was in there all the time for the past month and a half. I only ever saw them mate once, then nothing. In the spring i'd like to get a completely new pair so that i can have some more unrelated budgies in the aviary. Picking pairs at the moment is IMPOSSIBLE! All the blues are related to each other and all the greens are related. I would like to get (as my new pair) a blue or grey spangle and a yellow face dom pied hen.
  23. Why is that? I much prefer boy dogs!

WOW! It's super! I hope you get it.
  25. I love the milk moustache one! Too cute!
