Oohh, sorry, i re-read your first post and that does make sense. If Belle's egg was only laid today that's pretty normal, many hens don't start sitting on their eggs till the second one is laid.

Yup, she's being a good mummy if she's staying on her egg during the night.

Ahhh.....budgie rivalry. :(Laughing out loud): I sometimes find that i can use Blinkie's jealousy to my advantage by paying lots of attention to Ozzie, of course Blinkie flies in for some hugs and kisses too.

Blinkie = 36g Ozzie = 38g

I never got around to posting about Gherkin and Tiki coming inside. :bluebudgie: They've been inside for about a week and a half. :ausb: If i get babies i should get pieds and opalines, and if Gherkin turns out to be split to blue i could get blues too!

:(Laughing out loud): That's so cute! Reminds me of when my friends lovebirds were breeding and the female would shred the newspaper on the cage floor and stuff it in her butt feathers.

Gherkin is making babies in my bedroom. :bluebudgie: He has a new wife, Tirikke. So far no eggs but i have seen them mating so fingers crossed. :ausb:

Pudding is my favourite of all the aviary budgies. She's got a great little personality, always looking to see what i'm doing. Plus she'll eat from my hand...oops, i mean she'll eat my hand. :(Laughing out loud):

If he has blood on him it would be benificial for him if you gently catch him in a small towel/cloth and carefully rinse it off with warm water. I hope he's feeling a bit happier soon.

Wow! So can he fly all over the place now? Ozzie's just finished his first moult and he hasn't got all of his fight feathers in. Still has about 2 clipped ones on each side. So it is normal for them not to lose all flight feathers in one moult.

Hopefully he's over the worst of it and will stay well this time.

I'm not the right person to give advice on this topic as my boy Blink is the h**niest little budgie in existence. No matter how i arrange his cage he always humps his rope perch. If the rope perch is absent then he humps the cholla perch. I just let him do his thing now. I would hate for him to get so frustrated that he humps me. :(Laughing out loud):
