I haven't tried it mixed with seed but Blinkie LOVES baby food. It's pretty cheap so it's worth a try with your budgies. :fear

I don't think you should take her eggs away. If she's determined to lay even without a male or nesting box i doubt she'll stop until she has a full clutch. If you keep taking them away she'll keep laying to replace them.

My bedroom has always been the budgie breeding room. Now it's like my mini zoo with my fish AND budgies.

I had one pair that only had eyes for each other. They were so in love.

Is something the matter with the one on the left's beak? In both photos the top beak is in the bottom one.

Last few days i've been thinking that i'd like to set up a breeding pair in my room. It's easily warm enough in the house (about 15C overnight, 20C the rest of the time) so who would like to help me choose which pair i'm going to set up? Here's the few i'm thinking of: Gherkin (green dominant pied) and Gerri (albino) Lime (normal green) and Bubbles (cinnamon opaline violet) Patrick (violet spangle) and Akala (greywing opaline cobalt) I'm thinking Pat and Akala might have the most interesting babies...but if Lime and Bubbles would make some opaline greens then i'm interested. Any thoughts? I've made up my mind to bring Pat and Akala inside. What colours could i get? Edit: okay, i went out to fetch Pat and Kala and found Bob pashing. So i'm using Bob instead of Pat. They're in the breeding cage now and Bob is so excited. Warbling happily and feeding his lovely lady. I forgot how sweet it was watching a couple of budgies in love.

I know what you mean. After all, we are talking about Lord Blinkie here.

The holes are my toenails fault, but Blinkie hates it when i wear socks with no toe holes.
