Oh YAY!! An egg! None of mine hatched but i'm sure yours will! I think all mine were duds cause Razzo fell off the perch when they mated.

As soon as i get my breeding cages Gherk and Buzz, Pat and Akala will be set up.

Nest boxes are made from ply wood, perhaps breeding cages are too.

It sounds like she might possibly already be egg bound. It happens in older and younger hens. Really, she needs a vet because a messy vent is a sure sign of illness...egg bound or not.

I was going to say boy and girl but i'm not certain. It was a bit hard to tell.

I give my budgies Trill Seed Mix, egg and biscuit, daily vegies and cuttle bone. A lot of the other stuff is only put on the market to get money and isn't really needed.

I think a vet visit is necessary. Please let us know how she gets on.

How exciting for you. However most people would advise you not to mix different species of birds. Budgies can be very territorial and aggressive little things and could hurt the rosy bourkes or the bourkes could hurt the budgies. If they don't get on do you have another cage that is big enough to house the bourkes?

What a sad post to read, i can't imagine how you're feeling. I really truely hope that something can be done for little Peanut, we've all gotten so involved with him and his story. I know that you'll do whatever is best for the little guy and i just hope that involves more time and a happy Peanut. I am thinking of you!

okay! So there will be a Rumple, Raquel and Rupert!!

I'm not sure what happened with Pickle really...i just noticed his wing drooping one day! The first 2 of Gherkins potential babies are to be named Rumple and Raquel. Me and Rach came up with those names!

It's still sitting funny but he's been flying around with no apparent problems.
