They look really scruffy compared to budgies and other parrots but they have their own special charm.

Whenever i've had to ring the RSPCA they've been so helpful! Me and my friend once found a baby bird and they gave us the phone number of a place that could take it and told us how to keep it warm and secure and when we lost Mickey they put him on the website. They seem so good.

I am really jealous! Is that the vet surgery that has a show on Animal Planet called Energency vets? It's a pity you aren't living near there already.

Is it a new budgie from a pet shop? Sometimes they get bullied and plucked by other birds.

I've seen those! I've also seen rainbox coloured talking treats!! Hmm...great idea! Useless seed with added colour to just make your budgie sooo much healthier!

Not sure. There has to be some type of bird safe glue. My play gym came with glue but i chose not to use it as it all fit together very firmly without so i figuired why risk it.

Here's a photo of what mine looks like. It's store bought but i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make from scratch.

They are but then you get the yellow faced variety. Still mostly white, still got red eyes but the have a lovely creamy face!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I really thought he was on the mend. You did all you could and he's in a better place now.
