Fat man Blinks is scoffing his seed bell on his gym. I only let him have it out of the cage not in cause then it's a special treat. Do they go off? Just curious, don't think it'll be a problem by the way he's going but anyway.

She's a very well adapted lady. She's still got stumps of toes so she uses them, she was like this earlier this year when she had Blinks and his siblings so i guess my choice of perches weren't up to scratch this time or something. Here's what her toes look like: See here

I don't provide it to my outside birds but there is shell grit in the seed i feed Blinkie, not sure if he eats it or not.

I hope Peanut picks up being crop fed. He really has had more than his fair share of bad luck. Hope they both are able to go back home with you tomorrow.
  9. I hope something can be done to help Percy.

What vegies are you trying? It's always hard at first! You should try maybe some brocolli or grated carrot mixed in their seed. They also seem to go for leafy things like carrot tops, lettuce, celery leaves and spinach. Not too much lettuce though as it's very watery.

This is a really good poll! I was thinking of doing the same thing!

Does he like millet? Could you bribe him to stay with some? Another good idea is to take him out in a room with no or few perching opportunities. Then you'll be the main landing platform!

As a general rule you shouldn't mix parrot species. In the case of budgies and teils the budgies often bully the teil so don't get a teil unless you have another large cage to house it in.

:(Laughing out loud): I'm lazy too but i also like my money so don't want to have to go spend $15 just because Blinks decides it might be funny to poop all over his perchs.

Yes but not with Razzo. Gherkin - Buzz and Pat - Akala are the 2 pairs i intend to set up next month.

For future reference...how would you wash a rope perch? And then how would you get it dry again?
