(Laughing out loud)!! Lin, they'll get used to it! :bluebudgie:

Very nice, it's very similar to Blinkie's cage. :bluebudgie:

I would think the fact that she's moulting is making her itchy and grumpy aswell, my budgie Blinkie gets a bit moody when he's covered in pin feathers. Hercules is probably also heading into the terrible teens age, which is awful! She should get over it after a few weeks though so just keep working with her as much as you can. :bluebudgie:

I'm really sorry. (((hugs))) Anything that has a strong scent should be kept away from budgies, even if it is non toxic. :bluebudgie:
  5. There will probably be a bit of squabbling at first as they establish dominance in the new flock but as long as it doesn't get too nasty that's normal. The males sound really bonded so they could suprise you and just ignore the females prefering their male buddy. :bluebudgie:

Blinkie has one like this which i put on his play gym. He also has one which is exactly the same again but on it's own stand so you don't need to put it on a perch. Blinkie was scared of them for a while but he loves them now. :bluebudgie:
  7. Doesn't matter, i've been to busy shopping to come on here much the last couple of days so that's my fault! :(Laughing out loud):
  8. Wow!! That's a lot of different colours in one family!

Vets is the surest way to fix the problem but put her in a small cage in a very humid room (bathroom with hot water running to make the room steamy), this can help her to pass the egg. Hope she gets through this.
  10. Hehe...Gherkin is now a type of budgie known world wide. :(Laughing out loud):

I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. By the way, when you say your wife was out the back with both, what do you mean? Budgies (even clipped ones) shouldn't be allowed outdoors without either being in a cage or wearing a harness especially for budgies.

Budgies are stupid sometimes. :(Laughing out loud): Blinkie sometimes tries to perch on his ferris wheel which of course just spins round and round and round!

Yeah, it's a bad idea to fall asleep with a budgie around especially if you roll around a lot like me! I've done it a few times with Blinkie but thank god dad's been around to wake me up.

    Hehe...Chirpy Christmas! :(Laughing out loud):

Razzo always used to looove sitting on top of the box! :rip: She was so cute. Hope you get some eggies soon!!
  16. Jangles looks like a girl to me, he always has. :rip:
  17. Hmph! No fair, *waiting 5 days*
  18. Here's a photo of Jelly (mauve)
  19. Yeah, it's really awful looking. I had to keep her separate until it cleared up and i also had to treat all my other budgies but thankfully none of them ever showed any signs of it. She's back in the aviary and happier and more active than i've ever seen her.
  20. Here's Tirikke before we got the treatment for her scaly face. And here she is again about a month after treatment. Doesn't she look gorgeous now?! Just thought some people might be interested to see her.

It sounds like they're bonding really well!

Hmm...did the vet do any tests or give you any medicine or advice? A build up of droppings can be really serious.
  23. Bea replied to a post in a topic in Breeders Discussion
Definitely destroy the egg somehow, she's way too young to have babies. I guess this explains the larger droppings.
  24. I'm thinking about getting a small fan to set up in my room. The wet towel idea's good but keeping it wet could be interesting. I suppose putting the tops in a container of water on top of the cage would work.

    That sounds about right!
