Twice over the last few days i've noticed Blinkie doing the most bizarre thing. He sits besides his iodine bell and nibbles that then immediately preens his feet, then takes another nibble and then preens his feet. He just sits and does this for a few minutes then resumes normal behaviour. Why in the world is he doing this?

I'm so sure Blondie is an opaline! She's gorgeous! Can a budgie be opaline and pied?

How will that fit inside? Or is it going outside? It's MASSIVE!

Opaline basically gets rid of the head bars doesn't it. All my opalines have no/almost no head bars.

Oooh, on page 3 it says exactly what Nerwen told me.

Just took some photos of little Blondie: See, green edged feathers. Also i noticed some of the wing feathers look like they might be yellow with black bars followed by green bars. Just some general cuteness. Awwwww.

To get an opaline does one of the parents have to be an opaline? Just wondering because Blondie is making me think of an opaline (yellow head -no bars- green edging on wings and as far as i can tell so far very few markings between her wings, just green) but i'm sure i've read somewhere that one of the parents has to be opaline.

I really hope this works and there'll be an end to all these eggs!

Nope, as long as the cages are large enough.

Well during my few years breeding budgies i've used both regular cages and breeding cages and whatever you use doesn't seem to effect the results, it's the conditions (food, water. light) that effect the overall outcome.

I haven't seen them before but i like most Trill seed treats so i would assume they're up to the same standard as the rest of the Trill.
