  1. Dad's agreed to take me first thing. If it's there i'm buying it so you'll get your photo, if it's not there well obviously i can't get a photo, (Laughing out loud). If it's not there i'm buying myself another budgie anyway....late xmas pressie. You wont get any photo's till afternoon cause i have to clean the house tomorrow.
  2. Imagine that black and green one without the black and more yellow on it's back, as far as i can remember that's what this one looked like. It was a pied.
  3. That's the only good thing. Will have to convince dad to take me right on opening time on Wednesday, (Laughing out loud).
  4. We need Karen for this, i'm sure she'd have a photo.

(Laughing out loud)! I guess so!
  6. Yes, the pet shop's closed till Wednesday. It's open 8am - 6pm everyday EXCEPT PUBLIC HOLIDAYS!

We have to travel 20mins to get to our avian vet. This isn't very bad at all but the fact that there's a dog/cat vet only a couple of mins drive away annoys him hugely! I reason with him that he'll get what he's paying for if he goes the extra distance rather than paying to hear a diagnoses that i could have come up with.

He sure did, well at least he enjoyed the challenge of catching my toast (which i was waving everywhere to keep him off). :dbb1:

I love those perch spinners! :dbb1: Blinkie has one on his play gym, doesn't play with it much but it looks cool. :ausb:
  10. :ausb: Course it was a budgie. I'm soooo excited now, i've just gone and cleaned one of my spare cages all ready for the new budgie. Dad's agreed to take me tomorrow. :dbb1:

With sneezing being the only symptom showing the only way to find out if something's wrong would be through tests. Just about any disease could have sneezing as a symptom so it would be waaaay too risky to wrongly diagnose the budgie. :dbb1:

I think they're okay but it's really important that you don't use them as either the main or the highest perch. :dbb1:
  13. I thought of another thing hopefully to my advantage. People will be going away on holidays so won't want to buy a pet at the moment. :dbb1:
  14. If it's a small egg it's probably a dud anyway. Separating them definitely seems to be the only option left hey? :dbb1: Silly budgies.
  15. Well i'm rich, rich, rich! Was expecting about $30 - $40 xmas money but my relatives paid me and my brother well....i got $130! :dbb1: Now i can actually afford a budgie (the green one *crosses fingers*).....and i'll have more than enough to go to the movies tomorrow still! :ausb:

Well the peanut butters gone. He won't be getting anymore in the near future, don't want a fatty bird. :dbb1:

Please don't take the budgies outside at all without restraint. Even clipped budgies can fly huge distances if they get a fright and even further if a breeze comes up. There's just too much danger and in my opinion there's no need to take your feathered friends into such a dangerous situation. :dbb1:
  18. Stupid Blinks landed on my toast which had lots of peanut butter. As a result he had peanuty feet which he licked clean. I'm sure i've seen peanut butter in bird safe recipes but i just wanted to double check. Is peanut butter safe?

:fear Why, what's wrong with Santa? Is he sick?

He could just be a normal green. My normal green baby has a lot of blue around her butt and a slight bluey tint to her feathers. Yours looks to have a lot more blue though.
  21. I hope it's there too. I promise that if it's there i will get it. If it's not then i will get the crested one or one of the gorgeous yellow faced blues anyway, (Laughing out loud)! I have my heart set on the green one though. I'm so worried that i was imagining things and it won't be as interesting as i remember but i'm sure i'm right. I looked at it and thought "what the heck is up with that?!" :fear
  22. I think the cage is plenty big enough for a third budgie. Nice play-gym by the way, i have the same one for Blinks.
  23. Terri brought some really good cages pretty cheap that stack on top of each other. You should pm her and ask about where she got them, i think it was online.

Are you adding apple baby food to the mix? If not then give that a go, i've smelt hand rearing mix and it doesn't exactly smell delicious. Pommy looks so cute, and look at his crop! Great job.
  25. Yep, those black budgies are real. Freaky looking aren't they? The green was really green, i swear i saw it and just stared and stared to make sure it was really like that and not my eyes playing up.
