Wrong- boys are pink when young and females are blue with a white overcast. As adults males are a solid blue or pink and females are brown or blue with the white overcast when not in breeding condition.
  4. Great name! I agree it is a he.
  5. Take him to the vet. Remove him from the cage and set up a hospital cage with a source of heat. Ring your vet to find out if they do birds. Please post a picture so we can judge more efficiently.

    Looks df spangle.
  7. That's Okay. Lol, I'm the bird expert in the school.... so it really gets on my nerves if somebody thinks I'm wrong about them. For example, there is no Australian bird called hawk, it is either a sub species like say, grey goshawk or sparrow hawk or crested hawk ( another name for pacific baza ). I have been told otherwise. PS. Bacteria also appears in the human mouth ( deadly to birds ) which is why I don't kiss my birds.

http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy62/Ratzy_2009/029-1.jpg I fear Skye has more than just a fartherly feeling for Lexi. http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy62/Ratzy_2009/030-3.jpg Skye still doesn't get the point of seed dishes. http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy62/Ratzy_2009/041.jpg Chubsy's tail is still very very green but this picture doesn't show it. http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy62/Ratzy_2009/049-1.jpg Marigold is obsessed with chewing the lens lol. http://i778.photobucket.com/albums/yy62/Ratzy_2009/048-1.jpg More pics to come. I can do it- takes a lot of effort though.
  17. Budgies don't need grit at all- they hull seeds.
  18. Hmmm..... didn't know that. I'll look for it in future.
  19. Try gum leaves and hiding greens among the leaves once he starts eating them.
  20. Powdered I meant, it is mixed with the seed. Not the whole cuttle bone.
  21. I agree, GB, that is a great story!
  22. I agree... I was confused when I saw my budgies starting to moult lol. Now one is breaking her cap I think. For adding calcium to his diet, try powdered cuttle fish bone. What does he eat?
  23. No... that is his iris. It usually doesn't colour up untill they budgie matures though. The colour of the iris will vary with different ages.
  24. I say all male, but I am undecided on the last one.
