Hi, do you mean twigs or branches? Twigs are usually uncomfortable as they are too thin.

Nice cage. Dude was picked up by his owner yesterday and that was what they used as a carrier cage. Actually, I think it was bigger. I told them about his diet, quarantine and all of that. I'm happy though as they have a massive cage apparently and they had cockatiels and budgies until somebody let them out. Has he started flying yet?

Not funny... some advice I've read on there could kill your budgie. Someone advised you 'must' put a nest box in once the hens get a brown cere because she will start to lay eggs.

One sibling has been sold, but I can keep the others, though my brother gets one. It could be a mutation, or it could just moult out.

Is there such thing as a mauve green? Dude has a blue-ish tinge to him around the vent area, so could he be a violet green?

They are moulting at the moment I think so I'm seeing how it all goes. Could somebody post a picture of a normal birds wings and flight feathers? I think somebody mentioned how the flights were different. My birds have body colour going through the flights. The also have a V-shape on their backs.

I read an article in the newspaper about a cockatoo who will never be able to fly because the owner purposely cut through the elbow to ground it. It was kept in a cockatiels cage. There was a picture of 'Aussie' with his wing stretched out and half the wing was still attatched. Who ever did that to the poor bird then got rid of it needs to be turned into a bird then go through the same thing. I hate people who are cruel to animals... if they didn't like them then don't keep them as pets.
