Can you get a close up picture of Sparkey? He looks very pretty !!

Thanks Kaz, yep understand that 100%, I didn't really explain properly....I was meaning is that we still have some final touches to do, whether we move it under the pergola more or erect an awning, I have thick plastic drops that cover the entire "outside" flight for when it does rain, but no doubt a bit of water would still get in - especially if we had a storm.... I was meaning at the moment it's easier for me to change paper than to change sand if that was to happen until we decide what we are doing...

I too started out colony breeding before I found this forum, but we won't go into that From what I've read over the last 12 months is that people just don't seem to listen, some people post a question, they then get a educated answer, but don't do as advised.....how frustrating would that be???? ... time and time again these guys help us newbies, out of thier own personal time, give good advice for free.. that is ignored, the forum has heaps of information, the FAQ's, and just reading other post's...There are heaps of post's about colony breeding issues, and the same answers are given each time... I'm so glad you have taken on board all the advice given, I belive it's never a matter of if.....just a matter of when?? At the end of the day it's about the health and wellbeing of our birds, for them to be happy and healthy.. Good luck with your breeding...

Hi All, The first picture is what I started out with, hubby and I wanted them to have more room, so this is what we came up with.... They have heaps more flight room and seem a lot happier, not completed yet there are a few more final touches, but I am really happy with how it's turned out.....not to mention I can have more birds now!! And now... View from the other side... View from inside I would really like to put sand at the bottom...but if it rains it will get quite wet....the extension has a proper roof....I think I would have to enclose it a bit to protect from the rain and I don't really want to do that....so for now I'll stick with the newspaper...
