Ratzy.....I'm sorry but I have to agree 100% with Dave...at least find new good homes for the other babies if you dont have the space/ are not allowed to keep them first..... Take the eggs and the nest box away from all the birds until you have your parents 100% support...it's not fair on the young chicks.... You don't have to breed budgies to enjoy them.... I'm sorry , but this is my opinion...

On the bottle I have it's called Ivomec, I have not had a bird with bad scaley face so I thought the hen might need another treatment... I have given them all 1 drop on the skin at the back of the neck...

I went to a produce shop today to get a small bag of hulled oats and there were about 10 budgies in a small cage.. They all had scaley face and all looked a bit "unwell".... I tried so hard to walk away.....but I couldn't. I went to the counter and asked for the manager and told him that all the birds were sick, I asked if they had been treated, he said they were fine... :camera: I went home and got my Ivomec and went back and asked if I could treat them and he was okay with that. There was 2 there that were quite pretty and 1 hen that was in the worst shape out of all of them, he wanted $45 for 2, I told him I'll take the 2 I wanted if you give the hen that was quite bad, he agreed. So I have 3 birds with bad scaley face!! So far I have.... * Applied Ivomec * Medicated water with Coccivet * Trimmed toenails - (made one bleed but white pepper stopped it) * Quarantine cage away from my other budgies * Fresh seed - small amount of corn Can you please help with... * How many times should I apply the Ivomec? * Coccivet for 7 days then can I worm them straight after?

Thanks Dave, and yes you are 100% correct, The Vet said she had badly dislocated her leg at the hip with very bad swelling and fluid.............very sadly my girl "Jump' has been put to sleep about half an hour ago, so she is now in a better place......... Hi all... I have removed my Hen from the avairy after noticing she has injured her leg. It seems to be her whole hip?? sorry photo's not too good, didn't want to stress her out too much more... It's her left leg, she is still getting around slowly....... Any thoughts to what she may have done? Can you see in this photo that both feet are on the seed holder but her hip seems out? She was still getting around okay but decided to remove her and put her in a seperate cage

There is a little hope then Kaz...... I normaly do GB......just my luck that the one morning I didn't something happens.... :rip:

Yes they were cold Kaz, but I am not 100% that she had started to sit on them the more I think about it..... No I have not candles them.....I do not have a torch that will do the job... I have fostered the eggs...so I will just see what happens I guess...

TOTALLY agree with Dave....... I'm really sorry if we come accross like we are picking on you Hayden...... we are trying to do the best for you and your birds mate......thats all...... :hap: Listen to Kaz-Dav-JB and LB2005....They have heaps of experience......

LB2005, We do get a lot of Redbacks but I doubt it....I will have a look though....
