Jess's Pretty Babies :)
I don't see any red eyes, can you confirm that Cheeky? If they do then they are Creamino's (or Yellowface ino's) If they have black eyes then they are yellowface Double factor spangles. This is what I'm thinking they are since if I remember right Honk is the dad.

Putting My Budgie Outside
Question as most welcome on here, we all learn something in the responses. 1 - I would try for a warmish day to move him but they seem to cope with ease at the differance. You will have to watch closely for signs of sickness either from the colder weather or simply from stress from the move. 2 - It is best to keep to the same species, budgie can bully other birds even if they are the small bird. And a little fight over something in the aviary can turn into a huge problem with larger beaks of teils. 3 - This depends on the bird and your interaction with him once he has other birds around. When I got my second bird Pie he made a phone ringing noise (different from mine) but stopped it quickly. I didn't try to tame him since he was company for my other bird. A member here has three inside birds that talk (at least the first two do) to each other and to her, all of them are super tame. It is always a good idea to do a quarantine period of at least a month so you can monitor they behavior for sickness. Also is there a reason you want Chip to be out with others rather than having the bond between just the two of you? At the moment he sees you as his flock and might not even be missing interaction with others. Are you wanting to start an aviary full of birds? Are you wanting to breed?

Big Vinnie
Aww Karen I'm sorry to hear about that I didn't know you could show a non ringed bird as a starter. Is that for most show clubs or just something that your club has agreed to allow?

Light Green Spangle & Light Green Dilute
I'll be waiting for the pictures Three bubs YAY sounds like things are going well. Karen is right with the spangle tail. In a green bird they will be yellow in a blue bird they will be white.

Dirty Eggs
If you have some wood shaving already that the hen had removed before, add in a little bit each day now and she should leave it along. Mostly they clean the nest making it their own (this is when all the bedding is removed) but once babies appear they are willing to leave it be. Although I think sailorwolf's mum wasn't happy to see it's return and took it out again.

Advise Please.. Too Hot?
Also a normal fan blowing on them on hot days like that will not hurt them. I had some hot days while bubs where in the box too and I would leave the door (on top) open with a damp rag over the hole so no one got out. It did made it a bit cooler for the bubs. I didn't think of putting holes along the top.

Big Vinnie
so the question is Karen... does he have a show ring on?? or was he born before you signed up? I think he is stunning as well, would he be about the same size as Buddha?

911 Emergency
It's okay to be worried Joey. Small air bubbles do appear in the crop, you need to be worried when the air pocket doesn't go away or is swelling the crop.

Budgie Gender - How To Tell.
Molly thank you for bringing it to our attention that we havn't got a thread compiled together to help the new people here on what to look for to judge the correct gender of their budgies. Sailor has put up some wonderful pictures and after I hunt through my million and one pictures I'll post some up as well.

I'm lost too. Wondering if this is a hiccup in the forums putting a posting in the wrong topic.

Hi Im New Here And Have A Question Too
Re reading your first post, it sounds a bit like she had a skip in her cycle. Did she lay any out of the box? or before you set them up? 10 days is roughly how long it takes for a hen to restart a cycle of egg laying after removal of all eggs. This would be an odd case with her having eggs in the box still but it can happen.

At First Glance She's Skyblue...but?
Thank you Karen that was what I read before Nyo's Scuttle has the yellowface but the other with the teal tail, Berry, has a white face. But since into their adult feathers both of their tails are more blue than teal.

Shawna I wondered if she was a mauve as well. If the cheek patches are blue that means mauve, if they are grey then she is a grey.

Male Or Female? Important Update 03/1/07
I agree with the others and state male for your little one. Just a comment on the eyes - rec. pieds do have plum coloured eyes rather and a straight black and this is what your camera picked up in the pictures.
